Voxel Innovations provides precision metal component manufacturing using pulsed electrochemical machining (PECM) without introducing thermal or mechanical stress. It serves sectors such as aerospace, medical devices, and electronics by producing high-quality, intricate parts. The process removes material through controlled electrochemical pulses, resulting in burr-free, deposit-free surfaces and no tool marks. The company collaborates with clients early in the design phase to tailor PECM solutions to specific engineering and economic needs, then delivers project-based contracts or long-term partnerships. Compared with competitors, Voxel Innovations focuses on PECM to achieve stress-free, very smooth finishes and complex geometries that are difficult with traditional methods. Its goal is to provide reliable, customized PECM services that meet strict performance requirements for critical applications.

What believers are saying

  • 2026 hiring for technicians, automation, and quality shows production expansion.
  • Knightdale relocation supports growth, R&D, and staffing across medical and aerospace.
  • Government-backed R&D strengthens credibility with Air Force, Navy, NASA customers.

What critics are saying

  • US-person-only hiring narrows talent, slowing scale across Knightdale operations.
  • 24/7 chemical machining depends on specialized equipment uptime and process control.
  • If aerospace or defense contracts slip, Voxel’s niche PECM revenue thins fast.

What makes Voxel Innovations unique

  • Voxel’s PECM removes metal without heat, burrs, or mechanical stress.
  • Knightdale facility quadrupled floor space in 2024 for production and metrology.
  • 2026 site says 8 Phase I and 2 Phase II SBIR/STTR awards.
