Responsibilities
Quality-inspect body repair work.
Mask vehicles and repaired areas to prevent overspray.
Prepare repaired areas for primer.
Spray primer on all repaired areas.
Block-sand primed areas.
Prepare new parts panels for blending.
Repair scratches and chips before painting.
Buff refinished products.
Comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting body shop operations, including hazardous waste disposal and Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements.
Maintain a clean work area.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
Description
As a body shop technician, you will be responsible for preparing damaged vehicles repaired by the body shop for painting.
