Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship is required, and the candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Department of Defense security clearance.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and senior executives.
  • Deep knowledge of capital markets, Securities and Exchange Commission reporting, and disclosure requirements.
  • Exceptional financial analysis, financial modeling, and strategic communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, compelling messaging for investors.
  • Strong executive presence, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with investor relations software, including Ipreo, FactSet, Bloomberg, and Nasdaq investor relations tools.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 10 or more years of experience in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, or corporate finance.
  • Experience managing investor events, including earnings calls, investor days, roadshows, and conferences.
  • Prior experience at a publicly traded company, particularly in aerospace and defense, technology, or another complex industry.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and execution of the quarterly earnings process, including executive scripts, question-and-answer preparation, investor presentations, and financial and operational messaging.
  • Draft and coordinate quarterly earnings materials, executive scripts, question-and-answer preparation, and transcript approvals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and other members of the financial community.
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on investor sentiment, market trends, and competitor positioning.
  • Partner with finance and accounting teams on Securities and Exchange Commission filings and disclosure compliance.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of investor-facing materials, including fact sheets, press releases, and shareholder letters.
  • Manage relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and rating agencies; coordinate investor meetings, roadshows, and conferences.
  • Monitor analyst reports, shareholder ownership changes, and trading activity to provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the Investor Relations website.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and other strategic initiatives through financial communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage banking relationships, debt facilities, covenant compliance, and capital structure execution.
  • Advise the executive team and board on capital markets timing and financing alternatives.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions financing, equity or debt offerings, and investor due diligence processes.
  • Direct and provide expert knowledge in the department's strategic function.
  • Develop short- and long-term people and organizational strategy aligned with company goals and direction.
  • Drive strategic change and promote organizational improvements.
  • Identify, recruit, and retain talent.
  • Set performance standards and promote employee engagement and results through delegation, continuous feedback, goal setting, and performance management.
  • Maintain transparent organizational communication through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, email, and regular interpersonal communication.
  • Attend work regularly and reliably on a full-time basis or according to the posted schedule.
  • Exhibit professional behavior with internal and external business associates in accordance with company policies and practices.

The company is significantly expanding its Tampa manufacturing facilities, expecting to more than double production capacity over the next year. The new footprint will include space for high-volume production, additive manufacturing, and Uncrewed Surface Vehicle operations. Chief Executive Officer Roger Wells said customers increasingly seek proven autonomous systems deliverable at scale on shorter timelines. The investments aim to expand manufacturing capacity and customer-facing infrastructure to support rapid scaling. AEVEX acquires BlackSea Technologies for up to $650M to expand multi-domain autonomous systems

AEVEX Corp. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire BlackSea Technologies, a major provider of unmanned surface and subsea vessels in the US defence market. The deal is valued at up to $650 million on a cash-free, debt-free basis, comprising approximately $250 million in cash, $350 million in AEVEX Class A common stock, and $50 million in performance-based earnout consideration. The acquisition is expected to close in September 2026, subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions. BlackSea is expected to generate $150 million in revenue for fiscal year 2026. The combined entity will create one of the industry's most comprehensive autonomous systems portfolios, spanning air, surface and subsea domains. AEVEX intends to integrate its CompassX autonomy ecosystem with BlackSea's maritime platforms, whilst combining manufacturing capabilities across multiple US facilities.

AEVEX appoints Chelsey Thomas as VP of government affairs

AEVEX Corp. has appointed Chelsey Thomas as Vice President of Government Affairs. Thomas will lead the company's government engagement strategy at federal and local levels, strengthen Capitol Hill relationships, and help shape policy outcomes. AVEX scores $50M US Air Force contract, shares surge 16% on defence win

Aevex Corp. announced a $50 million contract from the US Air Force to expand unmanned mission-support capabilities. The award includes $27 million in initial funding and will support production of Aevex's long-range precision strike platform designed for GPS-denied environments. The defence technology company shares jumped nearly 16.44% on the announcement. Aevex reported first-quarter revenue of $216.7 million, up 307% year-over-year, with net profit of $21 million compared to a year-ago loss of $27.3 million. The company guided for full-year 2026 revenue of $600 million to $620 million. Analysts give Aevex a "Strong Buy" rating with an average price target of $35.75, implying 72.8% upside from current levels.
