  • Hands-on experience working with Figma
  • Familiarity with Design Systems
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Hands-on experience working with User Researchers (or conducting User Research yourself) and utilizing the results of that research to shape your designs
  • Familiarity with industrial design
  • Obtained or working toward a relevant degree (Interaction Design, Human Factors, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, etc.…)
  • Endless empathy for the user
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to revolutionizing the Roku players and remote control experiences by considering software and hardware designs from the ground up.
  • Design holistically to create a cohesive and coherent product experience.
  • Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, specs, and lightweight prototypes.
  • Balance qualitative and quantitative data to make user-centered design decisions.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to identify the problems and business goals that your designs will address.
  • Utilize user journeys to help guide and frame your design approaches.
  • Partner with strong User Researchers to determine and execute the ideal research methodology to evaluate your designs.
  • Own your designs and communicate effectively, articulating your design decisions to colleagues from diverse disciplines.
  • Give and receive feedback in regular design critiques with your peers.
  • Work in Figma to create OS components for use by the UX Design Team
  • Work closely with the UX Design Team to ensure best Design System practices.
  • Work with the Design Systems team on at least one Roku OS product feature.
  • Learn about what it means to work on a hardware platform.
