Requirements
  • Experience in design and build project delivery is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of related experience working as part of a project team.
  • Experience in project design and construction elements is strongly preferred.
  • Availability to work full time, Monday through Friday, as necessary, required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read and understand plans and specifications, are required.
  • Exceptional ability to remain organized and handle multiple action items simultaneously required.
  • Proficiency in using MS Excel and managing MS SharePoint.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Teams required.
  • Working knowledge of PMWeb or Procore is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6 or similar software is preferred.
  • Ability to pass a security background check required.
  • Experience and working knowledge of the Massachusetts public bidding process and public bidding laws preferred (i.e., MGL Ch. 25A, 149, 149A)
Responsibilities
  • Overall project management and coordination of activities for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Managing multiple projects through all phases in a project life cycle, from inception to close out.
  • Following up on action items, attending meetings with the client and generating meeting minutes.
  • Assisting project staff (consultants and client personnel), developing and preparing progress reports and presentations.
  • Performing other duties required to support the client and project.
  • Solicitation of Request for Qualifications (RFQs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs) for both Design Consultants and General Contractors.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and review consultant and/or General Contractor RFQs/RFPs.
  • Assist in coordinating and securing all necessary internal and external project approvals.
  • Provide technical and professional assistance in ranking and evaluating proposals.
  • Drive the contract and fee negotiation process for A/Es or GCs.
  • Work in conjunction with the consultants during the design phase to ensure adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Manages the consultant, contractor, and engineering services during the construction phase.
  • Manages the various key stakeholders and project participants through construction and project completion.
  • Provides supervision and technical guidance to assistant project managers, engineers, resident engineers, and support staff on assigned projects.
  • Responsible for the project schedule and project budget, in tandem, through all phases of the project’s life cycle.
