  • Currently enrolled in a BS or MS program in Computer Science, with an expected graduation date from Spring 2025 to Spring 2026
  • Programming proficiency in Java, Python & React or other modern OO programming languages.
  • Analytical and structured thinker—able to break down complex challenges, identify patterns, and frame solutions that align with business goals.
  • Excellent communication skills—with the ability to translate customer and market insights into actionable product strategies.
  • Collaborative and adaptable—able to work effectively with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Comfort with ambiguity—enjoy tackling open-ended challenges and iterating on ideas based on discovery and feedback.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with your mentor and other engineers to design, build, and maintain APIs and microservices that power HazardHub’s data products.
  • Contribute to architectural and technology decisions related to middle-tier services, API structure, and database design.
  • Develop and maintain geospatial APIs and microservices that deliver hazard and risk-related data efficiently and securely.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot live systems, identify bugs, and assist in implementing fixes and enhancements.
  • Participate in code reviews, share your ideas, and grow your software development skills in a supportive team environment.
