- A minimum of 1 year of previous experience in apartment maintenance or a trade requiring basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning is preferred.
- Applicable certifications, including Environmental Protection Agency, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning I and II, and Certified Pool Operator certifications, are required.
- Possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
- Own basic hand tools.
- Read service requests and schedules and regularly converse with team members, residents, and vendors in English.
- Have basic computer skills.
- Adhere to set and variable work schedules, including weekends and emergency coverage as required.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and practices.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Maintain a professional and ethical atmosphere.
- Perform work responsibilities at locations other than the home property.
- Travel within major metropolitan areas and attend company functions in other cities when required.
- Respond to emergency calls outside normal business hours.
- Prepare make-ready apartments.
- Complete service requests.
- Perform common area maintenance.
- Maintain inventory and shop organization.
- Participate in the preventive maintenance program.
- Participate in resident satisfaction programs.
- Communicate with customers, residents, investors, vendors, leadership, and CWS team members.
- Participate in the CWS Risk Management and Safety Programs.

- A high school diploma or General Educational Development credential is preferred.
