Requirements
  • 10+ years of product management experience in an agile development environment or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing multiple teams and ideally supporting product managers through coaching, expectation setting, delegation, and direct intervention
  • Experience working directly with or alongside AI / ML / Data Science products and applications to successfully drive products with significant business impact
  • Highly developed organizational and reasoning skills with hypothesis-driven problem solving and the ability to turn data into actionable insights
  • Demonstrated experience forming consensus out of ambiguity and complexity, influencing senior business and technology partners, and driving teams forward with sustainable urgency towards clear goals
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent of education and experience
Responsibilities
  • Own the product strategy and roadmap definition for 3+ science product teams to help visualize and guide the creation of technology solutions to achieve business objectives at scale
  • Identify new opportunities for Science investment given the evolving nature of the ML/AI/Science field and accurate judgment on diminishing returns of science investment across teams
  • Drive multiple cross-functional initiatives through a blend of product thought management/guidance, process engineering, relationship building & influence, team building & coaching, and direct intervention where appropriate
  • Coach a team of product managers to develop their skills and grow while rolling up your sleeves to assist directly when necessary
  • Guide problem scoping and discovery across multiple functional areas, drive requirements synthesis, and facilitate prioritization to discover how Wayfair should invest in capabilities that drive the highest impact business outcomes
  • Identify, contextualize, and communicate evolving industry, technology, and product trends, particularly related to the evolving R&D for the technical space you own
  • Create strong relationships with senior cross-functional partners, establishing a shared vision for success, and delivering results that create meaningful business impact
