Requirements
  • 6+ years experience or training in the installation and maintenance of electrical wiring and equipment
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license required with strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems through gathering and analyzing of information
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities, properly planning, developing and delegating team members

Responsibilities
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of journeymen and apprentice Electricians engaged in construction, installation, and testing of electrical components installed in modular buildings
  • Plans wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, and panel boards
  • Inspects wiring and fixtures for conformance to company specifications or local electrical codes
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations
  • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
  • Maintains time and production records
  • Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials
  • Confers with other staff to coordinate activities of individual departments
  • Sets up machines and equipment
  • Performs activities of workers supervised
