MRB Technician

Summary
The MRB Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, testing, validating, and determining the disposition of failed components coming from production. This role involves inspecting computer and server hardware, identifying physical damage, component failures, and manufacturing defects, and accurately documenting test results and dispositions. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with computer/server components, is comfortable using test equipment and manufacturing systems, and is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently in an ESD-controlled manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot, test, and validate failed components received from production.
• Inspect computer and server components, including motherboards, CPUs, DIMMs, SSDs, NICs, power supplies, and other FRUs.
• Identify physical damage, component failures, manufacturing defects, and other failure conditions.
• Determine appropriate disposition of components, including defective, NTF/NFF, vendor damage, customer damage, or scrap.
• Install and remove components and operate test equipment or test systems as required.
• Follow troubleshooting procedures and interpret test results, error messages, logs, and failure codes.
• Accurately record serial numbers, part numbers, failure descriptions, test results, and component dispositions.
• Maintain and update MRB systems, reports, and databases, including SAP, RMSC, MES, or similar manufacturing and quality systems.
• Follow ESD safety procedures and maintain a safe, organized, and controlled work environment.
• Prioritize high-value and production-critical material to support production and quality goals.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve component failures and support customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications
• High school diploma required.
• 1–2+ years of experience in electronics, computer hardware, server manufacturing, repair, testing, or troubleshooting preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computer and server components required.
• Basic Excel skills and computer knowledge required.
• Ability to follow troubleshooting procedures and accurately interpret test results.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must be dependable and able to work accurately for extended periods of time.
• Basic written English skills required.

Preferred Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of computer/server components, including motherboards, CPUs, DIMMs, SSDs, NICs, power supplies, and other FRUs.
• Experience identifying physical damage, component failures, and manufacturing defects.
• Experience determining whether components are defective, NTF/NFF, vendor damage, customer damage, or scrap.
• Experience installing and removing components and working with test equipment or test systems.
• Experience working in an ESD-controlled manufacturing environment preferred.
• Familiarity with SAP, RMSC, MES, or similar manufacturing and quality systems is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize high-value or production-critical material.
