EagleView unveils AI platform that cut wildfire claims assessment from weeks to minutes

Eagleview hosted its inaugural Property Claims Leadership Forum in Half Moon Bay, bringing together insurance executives to discuss how AI is transforming risk assessment and claims workflows. The company unveiled new research examining AI's impact across the insurance value chain. The forum highlighted growing industry interest in AI adoption. According to an April 2026 AM Best survey, roughly two-thirds of insurers plan to increase AI investment over the next 12 to 24 months, and nearly 60% expect the technology to reshape their business models within three years. Eagleview released a white paper exploring how AI and property intelligence are changing carrier operations between policy binding and loss events. The company's AI-powered platform, Eagleview Horizon, demonstrated its capabilities during the Los Angeles wildfires, completing portfolio-wide damage assessments in minutes rather than weeks. CEO Piers Dormeyer emphasised that industry leaders increasingly view AI as essential for improving business processes and managing evolving risk profiles.

Insurance Leaders Convene to Shape the Future of Claims and Underwriting in the Age of AI

Insurance Leaders Convene to Shape the Future of Claims and Underwriting in the Age of AI TMCnet News [October 09, 2026] | / | Insurance Leaders Convene to Shape the Future of Claims and Underwriting in the Age of AI At its inaugural Property Claims Leadership Forum, Eagleview brought together industry executives and unveiled new research exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming risk assessment, claims workflows, and decision-making across the insurance value chain. ROCHESTER, N.Y., Oct. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - The U.S. averaged 23 weather and climate disasters per year over the past five years, each costing more than a billion dollars in claims, more than double the long-term average of about nine, according to NOAA. This is a crisis for the insurance industry and is forcing leaders to understand and scale new solutions to evolve with the times. Eagleview has long been a trusted partner in supporting the evolution of the industry and this convening with senior insurance leaders, innovators, and decisionmakers in Half Moon Bay focused on what the future of property intelligence, claims, risk, and AI-driven transformation mean. The conversation centered on the role of technology in improving core business processes as carriers navigate a rapidly changing risk landscape. Across the board, attendees expressed appetite for greater AI experimentation and a growing capacity to invest as the tools mature and begin to deliver on their potential. Hosted by Eagleview, a leader in aerial imagery and geospatial intelligence, the gathering known as the Property Claims Leadership Forum, also marked the launch of the company's newest research on how AI is transforming underwriting, claims, and decision-making across the insurance value chain. "We believe coming together is the key to sustained growth in the industry and to navigating the evolution of the risk profile, particularly as AI makes it increasingly more possible to move from reactive to proactive management of risk," said Piers Dormeyer, CEO of Eagleview. "What came through this week is that leaders are deeply engaged in improving their businesses, and they increasingly see AI as the way to do it. Attendees are focused on both the near- and far-term changes AI is bringing, from the shifting dynamics of automation and loss adjustment expenses (LAE), to changes in how we process risk, to more tailored policy offerings, to new ways of improving speed to settlement and customer experience. More than ever, the industry is seeing clearly how these tools can deliver on that promise. The takeaway is that now is the time for carriers to invest and prepare for the challenges ahead." oughly two-thirds of insurers plan to increase AI investment over the next 12 to 24 months, and nearly 60% expect the technology to reshape their business models within three years, according to an April 2026 AM Best survey. Yet only about one in ten property-and-casualty carriers has moved AI beyond pilots and into production, per Capgemini's 2026 World Property and Casualty Insurance Report, even as the carriers furthest along report materially stronger revenue growth and share-price performance than their peers. Closing the Information Gap Between Bind and Loss Wildfire is the fastest-growing catastrophe risk of all, with insured losses climbing an estimated 12% a year, and in 2025, wildfires, storms, and floods drove a record 92% of the world's $107 billion in insured catastrophe losses. And the financial stakes keep climbing: global insured catastrophe losses have risen 5-7% a year in real terms over the long run, reaching $107 billion in 2025, according to Swiss Re. Wildfire response is also what prompted Eagleview's newly unveiled white paper, From Pricing Risk to Managing It: Your 2026 Property Intelligence Briefing, on how AI and property intelligence are changing what carriers can do in the period between bind and loss. Authored by Patrick Gill, Eagleview's SVP and General Manager of Insurance and Commercial Solutions, and Jenna Kinsman, Eagleview's VP and Head of Insurance Solutions, the paper's central argument is that the information asymmetry between a carrier and the properties on its book is closing quickly enough that operating models built around that gap are beginning to show their age. The research focuses on what carriers can act on now: portfolio intelligence and policy-in-force review, pre-loss identification and intervention, and faster, more accurate claims handling in the aftermath of catastrophic events. It grounds that argument in Eagleview's own experience during the Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year, when the company's claims-assessment teams worked manually through carrier property lists in the days after the fires. In parallel, Eagleview Horizon (the company's AI-powered geospatial property intelligence platform, now in early access) completed comparable portfolio-wide damage assessments in a fraction of the time of their human-only counterparts. The possibility to move that quickly held big promises. "Eagleview Horizon took a process that would previously have taken weeks and completed it in minutes," said Gill. "That means faster delivery, a better experience for policyholders, and greater capacity to manage risk." Technology Adoption Can't Come Fast Enough Two questions ran through every session: how far and how fast the industry can move toward autonomous claims, and what AI ultimately means for the economics of coverage. Attendees noted that with catastrophe losses like the Los Angeles wildfires, its no longer a nice to have to be able to compress the coverage timelines but a competitive necessity. And yet, across sessions, leaders were clear that the goal is not to remove people from the process but to equip them so as to keep expert adjusters and underwriters in the loop while AI handles the scale and speed humans can't. Carriers looking to move from pricing risk to managing it can read Eagleview's new white paper on AI and property intelligence, available now here. Eagleview Horizon is currently available to select customers though its Eagleview Horizon Charter Program. Carriers interested in joining the program can contact Eagleview directly. Carriers interested in joining the Horizon early access program can contact Eagleview directly. The Property Claims Leadership Forum will return for a second year with dates to be announced. JobNimbus unveils a new push to modernize the roofing industry.

JobNimbus unveils a new push to modernize the roofing industry. FinanceWire Sep. 1, 2026, 03:32 PM Lehi, UT, United States, September 1st, 2026, FinanceWire JobNimbus, which has already made a mark in the roofing industry through its innovative CRM, is now poised to further modernize the industry with the introduction of AI tools built to streamline contractor work. Tyler Folkman, Chief AI Officer at JobNimbus, says the company's current and upcoming AI features extend work it has been doing for years: building software specifically for an industry most technology companies have passed over. Building On a Foundation of Tech Innovation The rollout of AI-powered features isn't something that comes out of the blue for Folkman and the JobNimbus team. Rather, it builds upon the modernization priorities that have defined the business since its inception. "The roofing industry, like so many others, has long relied on doing things manually. That includes collecting customer payments, writing up estimates and even measuring roofs to make those estimates in the first place," Folkman explains. "Manual work is slow, and there's a lot of room for error. And when every task lives in a separate app, it's difficult to see the whole job from lead to payment in one place." With this in mind, JobNimbus was formed to serve as an all-in-one CRM tool for roofing contractors, offering integrations with industry-specific resources like EagleView (a roof measurement app) and Angi (for lead management). Alongside built-in workflows for financing, invoicing, estimates and communications, the CRM has provided a streamlined solution for modern roofing operations. Given the nature of roofing work, a key aspect of JobNimbus was making its CRM available both as office software and as a cloud-based mobile app. "Roofing doesn't happen in the office," Folkman says. "There are a lot of moving parts, and most of them are out in the field. It's easy to lose important details when you don't have one source of truth. The office and the field need to see the same information and make decisions off it. Otherwise you get mismatched info, and mistakes follow." AI Tools Specifically Designed for Roofers JobNimbus has already gone a long way toward modernizing roofing, bringing a digital approach to the business side of contracting. And with the recent release of its Analytics AI, the company is planning to take that even further. "Roofing contractors shouldn't have to hire a full-time analyst or tech person to understand their dashboards. But those numbers are essential for understanding the overall health and cash flow of the business, especially when it comes to catching problems before they eat away at your profit," Folkman explains. "With Analytics AI, contractors can just ask the AI a question the way they would ask a person. It pulls the answer straight from the company's own data to provide a detailed, conversational answer that contractors can actually use." Analytics AI builds off JobNimbus's free analytics tool, which provides pre-built dashboards and a reporting library for contractors. With Analytics AI, a conversational assistant is layered on top of these dashboards, making it easier for contractors to access the information within their dashboards. "We've found that in the past, contractors would go through a very convoluted process, exporting data from a reporting tool to spreadsheets or a separate business intelligence tool to get the information they wanted," Folkman explains. "Analytics AI simplifies this by allowing you to get straight answers that come directly from your own data. This also makes it easier to go deeper than just seeing what happened. Analytics AI can help answer the follow-up questions so you can understand your numbers and act on them." As with the other features JobNimbus had previously developed, this AI-powered feature was designed for users who are often on the go in a job that requires constant manual labor. An AI that can be easily used, even on the job site, enables faster and better insights so contractors can focus on the other tasks that help grow the business. Analytics AI is just the start of the company's AI-powered feature rollout. JobNimbus also recently launched NimbusLabs, an early access program that allows contractors to opt-in to test and refine additional features before they are made available for all users. By drawing on real experience from real contractors, the team plans to deliver truly specialized and targeted tools. Tech Advances Changing Industries As the example of Folkman and JobNimbus reveals, practically every industry has opportunities for modernization and streamlining through tech. By using industry-focused CRM features and strategic AI implementation, the roofing industry is finding ways to become more efficient and profitable. As tech innovators continue to find ways to make meaningful improvements to contractors' day-to-day workflows, the contractors who are quickest to adapt these tools will likely find new opportunities to improve their operations. About JobNimbus JobNimbus is an AI-enabled CRM for roofing contractors, purpose-built to support businesses from their first million to their next hundred, without the chaos. By connecting every stage of the job lifecycle, from winning work to collecting payment and driving referrals, JobNimbus replaces the fragmented stacks holding growing contractors back. JobNimbus is trusted by over 8,000 contractors every day. Contact. JobNimbus [email protected] Sponsored Financial Content
