About the job

Requirements
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience as a General Manager, Principal, Sales Leader, or Purchasing Director; multi-line sales or representative experience combined with a purchasing background is a strong fit.
  • Strong commercial and sales instincts paired with solid financial understanding.
  • Proven ability to manage toward growth targets and OKRs while driving deal-level strategy and execution post-close.
  • People leadership and change management skills, with the ability to lead a team through organizational restructuring and systems transitions.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to manage complex internal project teams and influence C-suite stakeholders.
  • A track record of proactively building strong cross-functional relationships at all levels, recognizing where two functions need close alignment and taking the initiative to connect them.
  • Working understanding of purchase agreements and accounting mechanics, and comfort partnering closely with Finance and Legal to build this fluency on the job.
  • Ability to operate effectively without having shaped the original deal assumptions, partnering closely with the deal team from day one to gain full context and continuity.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the Project Dynamics revenue plan from the M&A Lead and drive performance against it, proactively identifying shortfalls and adjusting plans and resources to hit targets.
  • Monitor the entity's cash position alongside Source Finance and drive the actions needed to resolve any issues or collections that arise.
  • Review and resolve day-to-day expense and accounts payable issues, keeping business spending aligned with return on investment and strategic plans.
  • Realize every assumption built into the acquisition's deal model, including revenue, cost, and timeline.
  • Drive a primarily sales-led go-to-market by mining the founding owners' existing relationships and leads and supporting the Business Development Manager on outbound, in partnership with Source's sales team.
  • Lead win-back efforts on lost accounts and develop new prospecting pipelines adjacent to Project Dynamics' current client base.
  • Partner with Source's go-to-market team on clear client communication through the transition, targeting strong client satisfaction and increased volume of work with Source within one year.
  • Keep account management roles and boundaries clear and aligned with both the deal objectives and the broader Source organization.
  • Coordinate Project Dynamics' event and marketing presence with Source, including standalone events where they make sense, within the allocated budget.
  • Lead the Project Dynamics team, including Project Directors, Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and the Business Development Manager.
  • Work alongside the founding owners, who remain in their current reporting structure and stay closely involved through a gradual handoff.
  • Partner with Source's functional leaders in Sales, Purchasing, and Operations and Human Resources, who own training and standards for the Project Dynamics team, while hiring and day-to-day execution stay within the entity.
  • Make sure the entity uses Source's centralized marketing, legal, insurance, and corporate accounting functions rather than duplicating them.
  • Partner with Source Finance, which owns project and operational accounting and reports to you for executive review rather than sitting on your team.
  • Hold the plan steady from close through full integration; this is a continuity and execution role, not a one-time relationship transfer.
  • Steward the Project Dynamics, a Source Company identity, preserving the name, client relationships, and reputation the team has built as it transitions into Source.
  • Retain critical talent and preserve what clients value, owning role assignments and retention plans under Source's leveling framework while gradually aligning the team to Source's operating model.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and Product to move Project Dynamics onto Source's systems, making sure the team is trained and supported through each cutover.
  • Lead with low-friction wins like new tools and training, and pace the harder structural and cultural changes so client continuity and revenue are never put at risk.
