  • Strong understanding of software architecture, testing, version control, continuous integration and continuous delivery, and modern development practices.
  • Ability to improve engineering practices through mentoring, code review, technical leadership, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Fluent and communicative English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5, TOEFL 70, or TOEIC 700+.

  • Experience developing and supporting web applications in public cloud environments.
  • Experience investigating and resolving production issues across application, integration, and infrastructure layers.
Responsibilities
  • Own and evolve system and solution architecture for Taiwan markets, including customer- and DMTM/Banca/Broker-facing front-end applications, middleware and APIs, policy administration, and other systems of record; ensure designs are robust, scalable, secure, and aligned with global reference architectures.
  • Guide software architecture and implementation decisions, and drive adoption of testable designs, common APIs, shared patterns, and sound engineering practices across the market.

  • Promote and model modern software engineering practices, including Agile delivery, lifecycle management, and Git version control with effective branch and release strategies.
  • Collaborate with Platform Engineering, QA, and enabling teams to improve continuous integration and delivery pipelines, development environments, and tooling, ensuring they meet developer needs and support 12-factor application principles in public cloud environments.
  • Mentor and coach engineers, including senior engineers; conduct code reviews and encourage appropriate experimentation with new technologies.
  • Investigate and resolve complex production and performance issues across the stack using debuggers, API clients such as curl and Postman, centralized logging platforms such as ELK and Grafana, and application performance monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Azure Application Insights, and Dynatrace.
  • Guide teams in building observable, fault-tolerant systems with appropriate monitoring, logging, and alerting to support reliable public-cloud operations.
  • Help teams define and achieve meaningful quality and reliability metrics, including error rates, performance baselines, and incident reduction, influencing outcomes without formal people-management responsibilities.
  • Produce practical working agreements, engineering standards, and runbooks with Platform Engineering, QA, and global teams in Singapore, India, and other centers so teams can adopt them in day-to-day delivery.
  • Own and deliver fixes end-to-end when a shared library, continuous integration pipeline, or deployment process is broken or absent for the Taiwan market.
  • Build integrations, adapters, and process changes that bridge global engineering direction with local market needs.

Vaultik partners with Chubb to offer AI-powered watch and jewellery authentication, valuation and insurance

Vaultik has partnered with Chubb to streamline the process of authenticating, valuing, and insuring watches and jewellery. Through Vaultik's platform, owners can photograph their items and receive AI-powered authentication and valuation results, reviewed by experts at Birmingham Assay Office. Eligible customers can then request insurance quotes from Chubb and purchase coverage digitally within the same application. The collaboration addresses a traditionally fragmented process that typically requires separate appointments for appraisal and insurance. The service is available through Vaultik's Collect App and can be offered by retailers, jewellers, and marketplace sellers. Vaultik currently partners with WhatNot and eBay Live. Vaultik's KYP protocol generates authentication and valuation outputs from photographs, whilst Birmingham Assay Office provides specialist review. Chubb underwrites the insurance coverage for eligible items.

Chubb edges 4% below fair value after Q2 2026 earnings despite 33% annual return

Chubb reported second quarter 2026 results with net income of $2.854 billion and earnings per share in line with the prior year.
