About the job
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
- At least two years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience, including one to two years of clinical experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing, subject to applicable state or regulatory agency requirements.
- Completion of a course focused on teaching adult students, experience teaching adult students, or experience supervising nurse aides, subject to applicable state or regulatory agency requirements.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Current CPR certification as required by state-specific requirements.
- Plan, develop, coordinate, implement, and teach a certified nursing assistant training program.
- Monitor and evaluate nursing assistant students in the classroom and during clinical rotations.
- Direct or assist with developing and implementing nursing center orientation and mentoring for the certified nursing assistant training program.
- Round in all patient and resident care areas to ensure quality nursing assistant services are being provided.
