Requirements
Proven experience as a Programme Director or Senior Programme Manager delivering large-scale programmes with full accountability.
Extensive experience within European Space Agency and/or European Cooperation for Space Standardization environments.
A strong track record in building programme organisations.
Experience in prime contractor or system integrator environments.
Experience in satellite communications, ground segment, or related infrastructure.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
Own and drive programme delivery.
Lead and scale the programme organisation.
Establish the industrial organisation and partner model.
Ensure governance is aligned with the European Space Agency and European Cooperation for Space Standardization standards.
Act as the key stakeholder interface.
Own milestones and acceptance.
EU Communication Gateway (Ground Segment) for IRIS²
Take on one of Europe’s most visible and complex space infrastructure programmes. In this role, you will lead SSC’s contribution to IRIS² within the EU Communication Gateway Lot, with full accountability for delivery while building and scaling a high-performing programme organisation across ground segment infrastructure, engineering, operations, and industrial partners.
This role is for you if you:
Have led large, complex aerospace, space, or infrastructure programmes with full end-to-end accountability
Thrive in building and scaling organisations while delivering under demanding governance and timelines
Bring experience from ESA, EC, or comparable institutional environments
Are comfortable operating at executive level with high visibility and stakeholder complexity
Enjoy navigating ambiguity and driving results across multi-partner industrial ecosystems
