Requirements
  • Experience in quality control, typically two to five or more years.
  • Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including Statistical Process Control, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Six Sigma, and 8D.
  • Experience with inspection techniques and measurement tools.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate across functions.
  • Experience in electro-mechanical assembly, control panels, motors, sensors, and industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
  • Knowledge of regulatory or industry standards relevant to electrical and mechanical products.
  • Experience with AS9102, supplier quality management, and audits.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to analyze data and create and review processes.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information.
  • Ability to interact with employees, contractors, and government agencies.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills for documentation and intra-team and interdisciplinary communication.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and weld drawings.
  • Ability to inspect mechanical and electrical assemblies, machined parts, sheetmetal parts, weldments, solder, and crimps.
  • Familiarity with standards for finishing and Federal requirements.
  • Knowledge of schematics, bills of materials, and specifications.
  • Availability to travel to customer sites up to 10% as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Create First Article Inspection Reports for new production parts.
  • Develop and execute checklists to confirm adherence to quality standards, specifications, and requirements.
  • Perform Material Review Board activities for disposition of nonconforming items and parts.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and inspection plans.
  • Document and report defects through multiple reporting portals.
  • Maintain detailed records of test results, defects, and resolution steps to support progress tracking and audit readiness.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to quality control processes.
  • Support the development and delivery of best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Work with engineering, production, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate on the integration of quality assurance and quality control processes.
  • Monitor production processes for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of electrical and mechanical parts.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify causes of quality issues and lead corrective and preventive action requests.
  • Ensure proper testing of electrical systems, including continuity, insulation, and functional testing, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Analyze quality data and prepare reports, metrics, and documentation.
  • Support supplier quality evaluations and incoming material inspections.
  • Stay informed about quality-control methodologies, tools, and industry trends.
  • Operate Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe PDF editing tools, testing tools, and automation frameworks.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed to ensure product quality and standards during installation and delivery.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience; four years of experience may substitute for two years of educational requirements.
  • Quality certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Green Belt.
