Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a Health Educator and Case Manager for Teen BLOCK teen pregnancy prevention programming, including recruitment, facilitation, training, program delivery, and youth counseling.
  • Foster the development of at-risk youth ages 13–18, with a focus on youth from Latinx cultural backgrounds.
  • Assist with program coordination, including meetings, agenda setting, mentoring peer leaders in meeting facilitation, and coordinating follow-up.
  • Attend appropriate trainings and weekly program meetings.
  • Assist program members with health care, testing, and treatment referrals, and educate members about these processes.
  • Support participants in developing skills and knowledge for positive decision-making and support of themselves and others.
  • Provide individual case management, counseling, and participant support with guidance from the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Assist with required data collection and evaluation reporting as directed.
  • Collect input from parents, teens, and community residents to ensure target-population representation in program decision-making and to guide outreach and education.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with collaborating schools and service providers, including other Lowell Community Health Center departments.
  • Provide evaluation support to the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Coordinator.
  • Maintain quality-of-care standards in program service delivery and comply with state and federal guidelines.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, or a related field.
  • Community Health Worker Training Certificate.

Lowell Community Health Center appoints Tom Murphy as Chief Financial Officer. February 11, 2026 Lowell Community Health Center today announced the appointment of Tom Murphy as Chief Financial Officer, following his service as Interim CFO since July 2025. Murphy brings extensive financial and operational experience to the role, supporting the organization's ongoing work and priorities. During his time as Interim CFO, he worked closely with the finance and executive teams, providing steady leadership and oversight across the health center's financial systems. Prior to serving as Interim CFO, Murphy was Senior Director of Finance at Lowell Community Health Center. His collaborative leadership style and ability to manage complex financial work while keeping teams informed and supported have played an important role in supporting the organization's ongoing operations. "Tom stepped into the Interim CFO role with a clear understanding of our financial operations," said Susan West Levine, Chief Executive Officer of Lowell Community Health Center. "His experience, judgement, and consistency have been evident in his work with our finance and leadership teams. Over the past several months, Tom has earned the trust of our teams through his thoughtful approach and his commitment to keeping our work grounded and moving forward.
