Edyn Care

Best Home Care Employer (London) at the Great British Care Awards 2025.

Best Home Care Employer (London) at the Great British Care Awards 2025. 08 Jul 2026 Some achievements stay with you, not for the trophy, but for what they represent and what they continue to mean long afterwards. For Edyn, being named Best Home Care Employer (London) at the Great British Care Awards 2025 is exactly that kind of achievement. Looking back on it, Edyn remain enormously proud, and not only because it was a lovely moment of recognition for its team. It's because this particular award speaks to something that sits at the very core of how Edyn do things at edyn, and to something that matters deeply to every family Edyn support. Here's why it meant so much to Edyn, and why it still does. About the Great British Care Awards. The Great British Care Awards are among the most respected honours in the UK care sector. Each year they celebrate the people and organisations delivering genuinely outstanding social care across the country, from individual carers and care managers to whole teams and providers, through a series of regional finals leading to a national celebration. They're a rare and meaningful chance for the sector to recognise excellence, dedication and innovation in the care of others. To be counted among the winners, in a field of such committed and talented care professionals, was an honour Edyn didn't take lightly. What the award recognised. edyn was named Best Home Care Employer (London): an award that celebrates organisations creating an exceptional workplace for their care staff. It's a category close to its hearts, because Edyn has always believed that looking after its carers is inseparable from looking after the people they care for. In the judges' words. Edyn were touched by how the judges summed up their decision. What stood out to them was how much edyn invests in its people: an inclusive, supportive culture, high-quality training built around real-life scenarios, and genuine room for carers to grow and progress. They felt this focus on staff: their motivation, their wellbeing, their sense of being valued, is exactly what powers the quality of its care, its appetite for innovation, and its drive to keep improving. Their conclusion was one Edyn'll always treasure: that Edyn stands as "a leading example in the home care sector." Why it matters to families. At first glance, an employer award might seem to be all about Edyn. But it's just as much about the families who trust Edyn with their loved ones, because the two are completely intertwined. Here's the simple truth at the heart of great care: the quality of care a person receives depends entirely on the carer providing it. And the best carers, the warm, skilled, dedicated ones, are drawn to, and choose to stay with, employers who value, train and support them properly. When a carer feels respected, well-trained and genuinely looked after, it shows in everything they do: in their patience, their attentiveness, their consistency, and the warmth they bring into someone's home. By investing so deeply in its carers, Edyn is really investing in the experience of every person Edyn care for. That's what made this award so meaningful. It was, in a very real sense, a recognition of the care its clients receive every day. A heartfelt thank you to its team. More than anything, this achievement belonged, and still belongs, to its carers and its wider team. Day in and day out, they bring extraordinary compassion, professionalism and heart to their work, transforming the lives of the people and families they support. They are the reason edyn is what it is, and the reason for this recognition. The standard Edyn continue to hold. Edyn look back on this award with real pride, but Edyn has always treated it as a reflection of its everyday standards rather than a destination. It sits alongside its "Good" rating from the Care Quality Commission as a marker of the commitment Edyn hold ourselves to: to the wellbeing of both the people Edyn care for and the people who provide that care. If anything, it's a reminder to keep raising the bar, year after year. If you'd like to experience compassionate, professional live-in care from an award-winning team, Edyn'd love to hear from you.
