The Pittsburgh-based institution held $15.2 billion across 82 branches in the area as of June 30, according to information released Friday by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. That number accounts for 13.4% of the total funds held by banks locally. In last year's rankings, PNC and FirstBank would have combined to hold $17.1 billion, or 15.5%, of the market.
