Requirements
  • Ability to work varied shifts during opening, busy dayparts, and closing periods to monitor restaurant associates’ activities.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local sanitary, safety, and health standards, including procedures and protocols for complying with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point standards.
  • At least 6 years of food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
  • At least 4 years of supervisory or lead experience in a casual dining restaurant or production kitchen.
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, and converse comfortably with customers.
Responsibilities
  • Complete opening, daily, and closing procedures and checklists in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist branch management and the General Manager or Food and Beverage Multi-Unit Manager I with managing and supervising day-to-day associate activities within assigned restaurants or points of sale.
  • Interview job candidates and make hiring, termination, advancement, promotion, and other status-change decisions for associates within the unit.
  • Read and interpret financial and operational data and reports to monitor progress toward unit goals and assign associates to meet those objectives.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of associates within assigned restaurants or points of sale.
  • Ensure the company and branch diversity and inclusion philosophy is understood and executed within the restaurant.
  • Resolve customer and associate questions and problems, referring complex issues to senior leaders when appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with company adult-beverage policies and that restaurant staff understand and follow applicable procedures.
  • Assign work tasks and activities, prepare schedules, and ensure all shifts are covered.
  • Ensure associates take mandated rest breaks and meal periods.
  • Ensure display areas are clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order.
  • Operate the cash register and void transactions as needed while following cash-handling policies and maintaining cash security.
  • Monitor compliance with wellness and safety procedures, build awareness, and report safety concerns to the General Manager.
  • Perform health and safety activities specified in the Manager’s Guide to Associate Health and Safety.
  • Place orders for assigned units, receive goods, and process invoices.
  • Maintain current contact information for all associates working in the restaurant.
