Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience developing and producing high-profile podcast content for publishers, studios, or platforms.
  • A deep understanding of women’s sports media with fluency in how topics are covered and discussed by fans.
  • Expert knowledge of podcasts including creative direction, structure, recording and editing.
  • Experience managing creative teams.
  • Self-starter with great time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • This is a remote-based position in the United States or Canada.
Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end creative direction, production, and performance of women’s sports shows on The Athletic Podcast Network.
  • Manage a team of full-time and freelance producers and engineers.
  • Work with show-specific groups to build forward-looking content plans across full seasons of programming.
  • Set a high-creative bar and encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the video and social teams to build an effective strategy to grow our presence on YouTube and other social platforms.
  • Work with agents, talent, and internal partners to develop, staff, and launch impactful new shows.
