Hatch, a referral management platform for specialty practices, has launched in the athenahealth Marketplace. The integration with athenaOne enables specialty practices to automate referral workflows and improve patient access to care. The platform addresses inefficiencies in referral management, which Hatch identifies as typically handled through manual processes across inboxes and spreadsheets. Hatch's AI Document Intelligence processes referrals into a centralised queue, whilst the athenaOne integration automatically matches or creates patient charts and uploads documents. The system allows referral coordinators to select insurance packages without leaving Hatch, and referral status syncs to athenaOne inboxes to eliminate duplicate data entry. "Referral management is consistently the largest, least optimised lever they have to achieve both," said Chris Poole, Hatch's chief executive officer. The athenahealth Marketplace features over 600 integrated solutions for clinical and financial workflows.
NeuroRPM, a provider of FDA-cleared, AI-enabled wearable technology for Parkinson's disease monitoring, has joined athenahealth's Partner Community as a Solution Partner. The company is now available in the athenahealth Marketplace, providing access to athenahealth's network of more than 170,000 clinicians. NeuroRPM uses Apple Watch and iPhone to continuously monitor Parkinson's motor symptoms, including bradykinesia, tremor, and dyskinesia. The platform transforms continuous sensor data into clinically meaningful measures of symptoms and treatment response, allowing clinicians to objectively monitor patients between office visits. The integration with athenaOne enables clinicians to incorporate longitudinal patient data into existing workflows whilst supporting reimbursable remote patient monitoring services. Because monitoring occurs passively during everyday activity, patients can generate data with minimal effort.
NeuroRPM becomes an athenahealth Solution Partner, now available in the athenahealth Marketplace. Bringing reimbursable, continuous Parkinson's monitoring into clinical workflows. WASHINGTON, Oct. 06, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - NeuroRPM, a provider of FDA-cleared, AI-enabled wearable technology for remote monitoring of Parkinson's disease, today announced it has joined athenahealth's Partner Community as a Solution Partner. NeuroRPM is now available in the athenahealth Marketplace, providing access to athenahealth's growing network of healthcare providers. The integration enables clinicians to objectively monitor Parkinson's symptoms between office visits and incorporate longitudinal patient data into clinical care. NeuroRPM uses Apple Watch and iPhone to continuously monitor Parkinson's motor symptoms, including bradykinesia, tremor, and dyskinesia. The platform provides clinicians with objective insights into symptom patterns, ON and OFF times, and medication response while supporting reimbursable remote patient monitoring services. At the core of NeuroRPM is an AI-enabled analytics platform that transforms continuous Apple Watch sensor data into clinically meaningful measures of Parkinson's symptoms and treatment response. Because monitoring occurs passively during everyday activity, patients can generate longitudinal data with minimal effort. Integration with athenaOne allows clinicians to incorporate this information into existing workflows and extend Parkinson's care beyond the office visit. NeuroRPM provides real-world insight into how symptoms and medication response change over time between clinical evaluations. "Parkinson's care is often based on what clinicians observe during an office visit and what patients can recall about the time in between," said Atila Omer, CEO of NeuroRPM. "NeuroRPM gives clinicians and their patients an objective view of how Parkinson's symptoms are changing in everyday life. Integrating with athenaOne makes it easier to bring that information into routine care and support better-informed treatment decisions." Through the Marketplace, customers can discover, deploy, and scale integrated solutions that extend athenaOne(R), helping streamline workflows and improve clinical and financial performance. NeuroRPM joins athenahealth's ecosystem of integrated solutions available to more than 170,000 clinicians on the athenaOne network. Athenahealth adds AI tools to EHR for value-based care. Athenahealth has rolled out enhancements to its athenaOne electronic health record system, introducing new functionalities tailored to healthcare providers engaged in value-based care arrangements. Many of these updates are currently undergoing trials with numerous medical professionals involved in diverse value-based care programs. The Clinically Inferred Diagnosis Gaps tool, now in beta testing, leverages AI to examine patient records and flag potential undocumented medical conditions that may require further examination. By displaying these suggested diagnoses alongside relevant clinical evidence, the system equips healthcare professionals with more full patient information during consultations, facilitating better treatment planning and documentation. Scott Davis, M.D., M.B.A., Holzer Health System's chief medical information officer, observed that clinicians often prioritize the most critical diagnoses during patient visits, leaving limited time to review all possible conditions. A separate feature, Enterprise Care Management with AI-Suggested Goals and AI Care Event Summaries, has entered alpha testing. This system applies AI to propose individualized care objectives directly within patient charts while generating automated summaries of hospital stays. These summaries enable staff to swiftly assess hospital experiences and arrange appropriate follow-up care, promoting smoother transitions and reducing preventable readmissions. The Data Explorer tool, also in beta, offers population-level analytics to help clinical and administrative teams evaluate performance against quality benchmarks, spot care deficiencies, categorize patient groups, and access relevant medical records for review or documentation. Integrated AI explains why individual patients meet or fail specific quality standards, allowing users to assess compliance status without manually sifting through extensive documentation. AI-Powered insights and patient Outreach. Sage for Analytics, now available in alpha, harnesses athenaOne's AI assistant, Sage, to assist value-based care teams in analyzing population health data through natural language queries. The tool generates live visualizations, tracks performance metrics, and pinpoints opportunities for quality enhancement. Agentic Care Gap Outreach, set to enter alpha testing soon, will expand these capabilities by using advanced AI to identify patients needing intervention, initiate customized communications, track progress, and organize follow-up actions. This functionality helps teams transition from data analysis to practical interventions, addressing care gaps and improving overall quality outcomes. Chad Dodd, athenahealth's vice president of product management, highlighted the company's role in supporting value-based care initiatives. "The effectiveness of AI depends on the quality of underlying data, and our network provides some of healthcare's most full datasets. Combined with an infrastructure designed for rapid, large-scale AI deployment, we empower organizations to adjust and excel as the industry evolves toward value-based care." "Our transition to value-based care means all contracts now include financial incentives and penalties," she said. "From my perspective, three key factors determine success in this environment. First, we need engaged providers willing to participate. Second, we must negotiate favorable agreements with insurers. But most critically, we require reliable, actionable data to effectively manage patient care. Athenahealth offered the best solution for our needs."
