About the job
- A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required, although an additional four years of experience may substitute for the degree.
- Three years of software engineering experience are required.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, preferably Python or Bash, is required.
- Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, including Git, testing, and debugging, is required.
- Basic knowledge of operating systems and networking concepts is required.
- Familiarity with AI and large language model tools and their applications in workflow automation is required.
- Ability to develop clear, organized technical documentation is required.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn from senior engineers and subject matter experts are required.
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with polygraph is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required; green card holders and permanent residents are not eligible.
- Applicants selected must obtain or maintain a government security clearance.
- Collaborate with training staff and stakeholders to gather requirements and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Develop and test artificial intelligence-driven solutions to streamline readiness and certification workflows under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Configure artificial intelligence harnesses and develop custom Skills and Model Context Protocol servers to connect AI workflows with organizational data and tools.
- Support the software development lifecycle, including prototyping, coding, testing, and delivering assigned features.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python and Bash.
- Use artificial intelligence tools to assist with drafting, reviewing, and maintaining user documentation.
- Create technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to support adoption of new artificial intelligence tools.
- Apply team coding standards, version control practices, and code review processes.
