  • A bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, Finance, or a related field and five years of progressively responsible experience in a hospital, outpatient healthcare facility, or community clinic setting, or a high school diploma/GED and nine years of such experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial data collection, reporting, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff, administrative departments, and external partners.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the daily operations of the Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery practices.
  • Collaborate with departments across UAMS and external vendors to ensure effective processes, optimize efficiency and revenue, and identify cost-containment opportunities.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of services, procedures, and products offered by Plastic Surgery providers.
  • Provide patients with appropriate information regarding services and direct them to the appropriate provider and scheduling pathway.
  • Manage financial workflows for cosmetic surgery services, including estimates, payments, cash posting, charge posting, account reconciliation, and adjudication.
  • Ensure compliance with established workflows and procedures for cosmetic and cash-pay services.
  • Develop, analyze, and monitor monthly financial reports to evaluate financial performance and service viability.
  • Present financial and operational data to physicians and leadership and provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Coordinate revenue cycle activities across multiple departments and serve as a liaison to ensure timely and accurate processing of charges, payments, and accounts.
  • Maintain and update customized cosmetic surgery charge information and workflows to support accurate pricing, charging, and financial reporting.
  • Review new patient referrals and inquiries for appropriate and timely scheduling.
  • Optimize clinic and surgical schedules to maximize provider capacity, patient access, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure surgical case requests are entered accurately and patients are scheduled using appropriate workflows for cosmetic and reconstructive services.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor processes to improve patient access, scheduling efficiency, and utilization of clinic and surgical capacity.
  • Coordinate and monitor initiatives to reduce patient no-shows and improve appointment completion rates.
  • Ensure clinic staff are trained on specialized Plastic Surgery and cosmetic surgery workflows.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and educational resources as needed.
  • Identify operational issues, develop process-improvement recommendations, and collaborate with physicians, staff, and departments to implement solutions.
  • Liaise with building management and support services regarding facility, space, equipment, and building-related issues affecting practice operations.
  • Plan and coordinate community outreach, educational programs, and marketing events with Plastic Surgery providers and UAMS Marketing.
  • Develop and deliver professional presentations and educational materials related to Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery services.
  • Coordinate practice marketing activities, including market-data collection and analysis, maintenance of marketing materials, social media content management, and marketing-campaign coordination with UAMS Marketing.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the visibility, accessibility, and growth of Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery services.
  • Maintain and analyze data on patient inquiries, consultations, treatment acceptance, procedures, and services.
  • Develop monthly reports and identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor patient satisfaction results and identify opportunities to improve patient experience, service delivery, and overall practice performance.
  • Develop and present monthly financial, operational, and practice-performance reports to physicians and service-line leadership.
  • Work with providers to identify opportunities for service expansion, improved patient access, increased utilization, and practice growth.
  • Provide operational support to other surgical specialty practices as needed.
  • Participate in departmental and organizational initiatives related to practice operations, financial performance, patient experience, and service development.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the appropriate leader or physician.
