About the Job

Requirements

  • You are a strong writer who can communicate complex ideas clearly.
  • You can translate complex technical concepts, including AI data, machine-learning pipelines, model performance, and messy real-world data workflows, into clear positioning and messaging for technical buyers and audiences.
  • You have narrative experience across written content, visual media, podcasts, and in-person experiences.
  • You have managed end-to-end product, vertical, or content-led launches with cross-functional teams, from early narrative development through external execution.
  • You have partnered closely with sales teams on strategic deals, understood customer needs in depth, and shaped custom narratives that helped advance commercial conversations.
  • You can thrive in ambiguous startup environments, ship strong initial versions quickly, iterate based on feedback, and build from scratch when no playbook exists.
  • You are hands-on and use appropriate growth channels to distribute your work.
  • You have created compelling written content for technical or business-to-business audiences, including launch content, technical explainers, case studies, thought leadership, or similar assets.
  • You can balance strategic thinking with tactical execution, including building decks, messaging, and case studies.

Responsibilities

  • Translate Protege’s product efforts across verticals into clear public-facing positioning, content, and collateral.
  • Turn complex real-world data issues and DataLab’s technical research into buyer-focused language explaining how Protege makes messy data usable, discoverable, and high quality, and how its approach differs from other data approaches.
  • Own end-to-end launch campaigns for Product, DataLab, and Commercial releases, from initial strategy through external execution, including narrative, proof points, and field-ready materials.
  • Write technical thought leadership content to advance the real-world data narrative for AI development.
  • Build product marketing strategy for the vision of Protege as a real-world data platform for AI builders across the AI model development lifecycle.
  • Build go-to-market assets for the commercial team, including decks, webinars, videos, social media content, one-pagers, case studies, talk tracks, landing pages, and launch materials.
  • Partner with the Head of Community to create assets that support community engagement and events.
  • Partner with Product, DataLab, vertical general managers, and Sales to align the market story with what is delivered to model builders.
  • Learn Protege’s business model, language, and products, identify opportunity gaps, and build technical fluency in its products, commercial solutions, and DataLab research.
  • Identify gaps in the product narrative and address them through messaging, content, and collateral.
  • Own priority product and content workstreams and multiple strategic initiatives, such as vertical or product launches and technical research releases.
  • Develop product marketing strategy and orient initiatives toward broader company strategy.
  • Create the product marketing vision connecting Product, Commercial, DataLab, and Delivery while communicating market differentiation.
  • Build company-wide positioning and narrative through thought leadership, owned content, and other channels.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with AI or machine-learning products and data platforms.
  • Understanding of foundation models, AI training, or machine-learning workflows.
  • A former technical background, such as engineering, solutions engineering, or data science.
  • Experience managing multiple verticals or product lines simultaneously.
