About the job

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 7 years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, including hands-on experience with at least one recognized security framework such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or NIST CSF involving gap assessment, control implementation, or audit preparation.
  • Experience managing or transitioning an outsourced managed services provider relationship.
  • Software development or scripting experience sufficient to build and maintain internal automations, integrations, and tools, using Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or similar; the role is not dedicated software engineering but requires comfort writing and maintaining code.
  • Hands-on experience evaluating, piloting, or operationalizing AI tools or AI-assisted systems in a business setting, with understanding of security and data-governance guardrails when connecting AI systems to production business data such as an ERP.
  • Comfort serving as the sole in-house IT/security resource in a hands-on individual-contributor capacity rather than a purely strategic or oversight role.
Responsibilities
  • Own day-to-day management of IT infrastructure, including network, firewall, access points, switches, and servers, across all company locations.
  • Own the full lifecycle of company endpoints and devices, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and shared/peripheral hardware, covering procurement, provisioning, mobile device management, and secure decommissioning.
  • Manage and hold outsourced managed services providers accountable, evaluate their performance, scope, and cost, and lead any transition to a new provider or service model.
  • Implement and maintain core security controls, including multi-factor authentication and conditional access, endpoint protection such as Microsoft Intune/Defender, patch management, account and access controls, encryption, and backup and disaster recovery.
  • Evaluate, deploy, and govern company AI tooling, setting access controls, data-handling guardrails, and usage policy to prevent security or compliance exposure.
  • Write and maintain lightweight scripts, integrations, and internal tools to operationalize automation and AI-assisted workflows such as product configuration/CPQ logic, reporting, and process integrations.
  • Partner with Product Management and Operations to move AI-assisted initiatives from proof of concept to secure, production-ready systems, respecting risk tolerance around systems that write to production data such as the ERP.
  • Build and maintain technical evidence for ISO 27001 readiness, including risk register inputs, a system security plan, and a plan of action and milestones, and for the cyber insurance application, partnering with the regulatory lead who owns compliance documentation and the audit process.
  • Answer technical IT and security sections of customer security questionnaires, including network architecture, access control, encryption, patch cadence, and incident response.
  • Coordinate with Product Management, Quality, and contract manufacturers on IT/network-security aspects of EU Cyber Resilience Act and IEC 62443 readiness; product-level engineering compliance work remains with those teams.
  • Document and maintain an incident response plan and lead periodic testing of backup, recovery, and response procedures.
  • Evaluate and recommend security, IT, and AI tooling, including email security, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanning, and AI platforms, within the approved budget.
  • Provide informal technical guidance to employees developing cybersecurity skills to help build future in-house capability.
  • Prepare regular reports for leadership on IT, cybersecurity, and AI-tooling program status, risk, and cost.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the EU Cyber Resilience Act, IEC 62443, or other product-security frameworks.
  • A relevant security certification such as Security+, GSEC, or working toward CISSP.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including Intune, Defender, and conditional access; network, firewall, and switch administration; backup and disaster-recovery tooling; and email security/filtering platforms.
  • Knowledge of AI tooling such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude/Claude Code, or similar platforms, and scripting/programming such as Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell for internal automation and integrations.
  • Familiarity with an ERP system such as NetSuite, and with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Teguar's purpose-built medical and industrial systems add compatible hardware options for IGEL deployments in specialized endpoint environments FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Aug. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - IGEL(R), a global software company delivering the IGEL Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform(TM), today announced that Teguar has joined the IGEL Ready ecosystem, with selected hardware validated for use with IGEL OS. The partnership gives customers additional hardware options for endpoint deployments in healthcare, manufacturing, warehouses, and other specialized operational environments. Teguar develops purpose-built computing systems for settings where conventional commercial devices may not meet environmental, durability, or workflow requirements. Its portfolio includes rugged and waterproof industrial computers, as well as all-in-one computers and tablets designed for healthcare environments. IGEL complements this hardware with IGEL OS, an immutable operating system for secure endpoint access, and the IGEL Universal Management Suite(TM)(UMS(TM), which enables centralized policy, configuration, software delivery, updates, and fleet management across distributed endpoint environments. "Organizations are extending secure access into environments where endpoint reliability, physical durability, and centralized governance all matter," said Jim Airdo, Senior VP of Strategic Alliances at IGEL. "By welcoming Teguar into the IGEL Ready ecosystem, we are giving customers more validated hardware choices while helping them establish a trusted and consistently managed endpoint layer." The combined offering is designed for organizations that need to balance three requirements: hardware suited to specialized operating environments, a secure endpoint foundation, and centralized management across distributed devices. In manufacturing and industrial environments, Teguar hardware can support use cases where devices must operate reliably under conditions that differ from a traditional office. In healthcare, Teguar systems can support shared workspaces, clinical access, and other workflows that require purpose-built endpoint hardware. IGEL OS provides an immutable operating foundation that helps reduce endpoint attack surface by design.
