Requirements
- At least 1 year of management experience; group home experience is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours and locations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must obtain Article 9, Prevention and Support, CPR/First Aid, and a Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card within 90 days of hire if not already certified.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
- Ability to remain calm and supportive during crises.
- Organizational and documentation skills.
- Confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, handle items, hear, talk, see, crouch, and crawl as required.
- Ability to lift, reposition, and regularly assist clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare for and attend Individual Service Plan meetings as needed.
- Maintain communication with families, guardians, and support coordinators.
- Conduct weekly audits and maintain complete resident files.
- Monitor and ensure the cleanliness and readiness of personal equipment.
- Provide transportation and support for appointments and outings.
- Monitor residents' health and report changes to leadership.
- Oversee and coordinate medical appointments and follow-up.
- Ensure accurate and timely Medication Administration Records and medication tracking.
- Complete Person-Centered Service Plan goals and documentation.
- Ensure all medical documentation is updated and compliant.
- Create and manage staffing schedules.
- Ensure appropriate staff-to-client ratios.
- Train, support, and supervise Direct Support Professionals and group home staff.
- Enforce compliance with Article 9, CPR/First Aid, Prevention and Support, and Fingerprint Clearance certifications.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and attend management training sessions.
- Perform weekly walkthroughs to ensure survey readiness.
- Oversee grocery shopping, petty cash, and client funds.
- Manage the upkeep of group home vehicles, including maintenance, registration, and safety checks.
