Requirements
  • At least 1 year of management experience; group home experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and locations.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must obtain Article 9, Prevention and Support, CPR/First Aid, and a Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card within 90 days of hire if not already certified.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
  • Ability to remain calm and supportive during crises.
  • Organizational and documentation skills.
  • Confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, handle items, hear, talk, see, crouch, and crawl as required.
  • Ability to lift, reposition, and regularly assist clients.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare for and attend Individual Service Plan meetings as needed.
  • Maintain communication with families, guardians, and support coordinators.
  • Conduct weekly audits and maintain complete resident files.
  • Monitor and ensure the cleanliness and readiness of personal equipment.
  • Provide transportation and support for appointments and outings.
  • Monitor residents' health and report changes to leadership.
  • Oversee and coordinate medical appointments and follow-up.
  • Ensure accurate and timely Medication Administration Records and medication tracking.
  • Complete Person-Centered Service Plan goals and documentation.
  • Ensure all medical documentation is updated and compliant.
  • Create and manage staffing schedules.
  • Ensure appropriate staff-to-client ratios.
  • Train, support, and supervise Direct Support Professionals and group home staff.
  • Enforce compliance with Article 9, CPR/First Aid, Prevention and Support, and Fingerprint Clearance certifications.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and attend management training sessions.
  • Perform weekly walkthroughs to ensure survey readiness.
  • Oversee grocery shopping, petty cash, and client funds.
  • Manage the upkeep of group home vehicles, including maintenance, registration, and safety checks.
