About the job

Requirements
  • Several years of hands-on experience in network security, network engineering, or a closely related discipline, with practical knowledge of routing, switching, firewall policy management, and network security architecture.
  • Understanding of routing and switching technologies including BGP, OSPF, and MPLS; TCP/IP protocols; LAN/WAN architectures; network security failure modes; and firewall policy management across technologies such as Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco, or F5.
  • Working grasp of Zero Trust principles, including identity-centric access models, micro-segmentation, least-privilege network design, and translating Zero Trust frameworks into architecture decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one public cloud platform—Azure, AWS, or GCP—sufficient to understand cloud network architecture, assess security decisions, and advise on secure hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity.
  • Ability to evaluate a network security architecture, identify meaningful gaps, prioritize them by actual risk, and clearly communicate findings to technical teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Working interest in at least one adjacent security domain: application security, identity and access management, DevSecOps, or AI and infrastructure security, and motivation to develop further in these areas.
  • Professional proficiency in both English and Polish. English is required for client-facing work, including communicating findings, facilitating workshops, and presenting to senior stakeholders; Polish is required for day-to-day team operations.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate complex network and infrastructure security topics into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences.
  • A proactive advisory mindset and adaptability, with a genuine interest in expanding beyond traditional network security.
  • Senior candidates are expected to demonstrate depth in network security architecture and breadth in at least one adjacent domain, such as cloud security, Zero Trust, identity, or application security.
  • Senior candidates are expected to be able to present and defend a position to senior client stakeholders up to CISO level.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Zero Trust architectures across enterprise environments, defining identity-centric access models, micro-segmentation strategies, and least-privilege network controls to replace legacy perimeter-based approaches.
  • Assess existing network security architectures against current threat models and regulatory requirements, identify gaps, and define prioritized modernization roadmaps that client teams can execute.
  • Design secure hybrid and multi-cloud network architectures across Azure, AWS, and GCP, including network segmentation, secure connectivity, cloud-native security controls, and integration with on-premises environments.
  • Lead firewall policy rationalization and automation programs by assessing legacy firewall rule sets, identifying rules to remove or redesign, and automating ongoing policy management.
  • Integrate network security controls into DevSecOps and platform engineering, working with development and platform teams on CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native platforms.
  • Advise on network and infrastructure security implications of AI- and LLM-based systems, including secure data flows, model access controls, inference API exposure, and isolation of AI workloads in enterprise environments.
  • Advise client stakeholders on network security strategy, architecture direction, and the evolution of the discipline, translating complex infrastructure security topics into clear recommendations for technical leads, architects, and senior decision-makers.
  • At Regular level, deliver defined workstreams by conducting network security assessments, supporting Zero Trust and cloud architecture reviews, and communicating findings to client technical teams.
  • At Senior level, lead workstreams, provide technical direction, and mentor junior colleagues.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with network security policy management platforms such as Algosec AFA/Fireflow, Tufin SecureTrack/SecureChange, or equivalent, including firewall rule rationalization and automation.
  • Experience with Software Defined Networking, such as Arista SDN or Cisco ACI, and understanding of the security implications of SDN architectures.
  • Zero Trust architecture design or implementation experience across identity, device, network, application, and data pillars, and familiarity with frameworks such as NIST SP 800-207 or the CISA Zero Trust Maturity Model.
  • Practical cloud network security experience, including VPC/VNet design, cloud-native firewall and WAF services, secure connectivity such as VPN, ExpressRoute, or Direct Connect, and network security posture management across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management concepts, including SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SSO, and PAM, and how identity integrates with network security controls in a Zero Trust model.
  • Network security automation using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools for policy management, configuration validation, or security monitoring.
  • Application security awareness, including OWASP Top 10, API security, and how application-layer risks interact with network security controls.
  • Experience with or interest in AI and infrastructure security, including securing data flows to AI systems, isolating AI workloads, and managing access to LLM inference APIs within enterprise network environments.
  • Experience assessing vulnerabilities and reviewing network infrastructure security, identifying exploitable weaknesses in routing, switching, or firewall configurations, and translating findings into actionable remediation guidance.
  • Exposure to risk management and compliance frameworks relevant to network security, including ISO 27001, NIST CSF, NIS2, or sector-specific regulatory requirements.
  • Prior consulting or client-facing experience in a security or infrastructure advisory role.
  • Security or cloud certifications such as CCNP Security, CISSP, or AWS, Azure, or GCP Security certifications, or equivalent.

Accenture caps staff AI spending at $29 a month after $1,000 bills

Accenture has capped employee AI spending at $29 (£21.75) a month after some staff ran up bills of $1,000, according to a report by 404 Media. The consulting firm wants to curb runaway costs as employees use AI for more everyday tasks. Companies are typically billed by usage, like a utility. Last week, some staff were told their access to Anthropic's Claude had been pulled entirely. Others are also reining in costs. Uber capped engineers' Claude spending at $1,500 a month after using up its AI budget in four months, while Microsoft has reportedly cut its Claude spending by about a third. The curbs come as Anthropic prepares for a public listing, targeting a valuation as high as $2tn. Investors are reportedly considering about $1.5tn.

Accenture's AI push: analysts see earnings reaching $10.3B by 2029 on 5.2% yearly revenue growth

Accenture is shifting AI work from pilots to deeply embedded systems, according to recent deals with UMass Memorial Health, Dell, Microsoft and Workday. The UMass Memorial project is a multi-year AI data platform, while the Dell alliance pitches private AI infrastructure to regulated clients. Analysts expect revenue to grow 5.2% a year over the next three years, with profit margins rising from 11.3% to 11.9%. They forecast earnings of $10.3 billion by 2029, up from $8.4 billion today, on revenue of $86.3 billion. The stock trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 14.2x, against 21.9x for US IT peers. Risks include slower decision cycles in federal and EMEA work, which could curb consulting demand and margins.

Accenture plans $9.5B shareholder returns and $5B acquisitions as it bets on AI reinvention

Accenture (NYSE: ACN) is betting on enterprise AI as its main growth engine. At its Investor and Analyst Day, the company targeted at least mid-single-digit constant-currency revenue growth in fiscal 2027 and 2028, rising to mid- to high-single-digit growth from fiscal 2029. Chief executive officer Julie Sweet said AI will create new demand that exceeds work lost to automation. The company has grown its AI and data workforce from 40,000 to nearly 110,000. Accenture plans to return $9.5 billion to shareholders in fiscal 2027 and spend about $5 billion on acquisitions. It expects annual operating-margin growth of 10 to 30 basis points. Its network of specialised businesses, now 6% of revenue, could double by fiscal 2029. Fiscal 2026 revenue was $74.2 billion, up 5% in local currency.

It raised its quarterly dividend by 5% to $1.71 per share, payable November 13, 2026. Its market capitalisation is about $139.6 billion.
