Ayble Health runs an AI-enabled virtual multidisciplinary clinic for chronic digestive and autoimmune diseases. It unites GI doctors, dietitians, behavioral health specialists, pharmacists, coaches, and care coordinators who use proprietary AI tools built on a large GI dataset to guide care. Patients access care through payer, employer, and health-system partnerships with in-network plans, and the team coordinates virtual visits, nutrition plans, behavioral support, and medication management. The company aims to expand AI-guided precision care from GI into adjacent autoimmune areas and grow access and outcomes through data-driven care and expanded provider networks.

Ayble Health secures $16M for virtual digestive health clinic. Ayble Health's Series A round was led by Neon, with participation from Unum Ventures, Upfront Ventures, M13, Cleveland Clinic Ventures, DigiTx and Accomplice. Ayble Health, an AI-powered virtual gastrointestinal clinic, announced on Wednesday that it raised $16 million in Series A funding. The Boston-based company treats digestive issues including abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, weight gain and more. It offers access to a care team, nutrition tools, gut-brain behavioral therapy and wellness support. The company serves employers, payers and providers. Ayble Health's Series A round was led by Neon, with participation from Unum Ventures, Upfront Ventures, M13, Cleveland Clinic Ventures, DigiTx and Accomplice. In total, it has raised more than $27 million. We are taking a look at how health insurers are using AI, defining success, and managing cybersecurity risks. "I've been tracking the GI space closely for years, and what Ayble has built is different," said Kimmy Scotti, founding and managing partner at Neon, in a statement. "Having invested early in top digital health companies, I've seen what it takes to build a category-defining company in healthcare. Ayble has spent years building the clinical evidence before they scaled the business. That earns trust from the full ecosystem: health systems, payers, and most importantly, patients, and it's what makes a durable market leader." The financing will be deployed across three main areas, according to Sam Jactel, founder and CEO of Ayble Health. "First, we are advancing our machine learning capabilities to deliver deeper, data-driven personalization across patient enrollment, engagement, and clinical pathways," Jactel told MedCity News. "Second, we are expanding our multidisciplinary care model beyond GI into adjacent therapeutic areas, starting directly with autoimmune conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and autoimmune thyroid disorders. Finally, we are accelerating our commercial footprint to scale access across national health plans, jumbo employers, and key benefit platforms." Currently, GI conditions affect more than 70 million Americans and drive $136 billion in annual U.S. healthcare spending. Autoimmune conditions add about $106 billion a year in direct U.S. healthcare spend. And patients often experience wait times of up to 40 days for specialty visits. presented by What if health plans could identify member decline before an avoidable hospitalization occurs? Real-time clinical visibility into long-stay SNF members uncovers risk earlier and drives better outcomes. In addition, these conditions overlap with other diseases. A 2025 study of 141 million patients found that inflammatory bowel disease was associated with 24 distinct autoimmune conditions. "Traditional healthcare treats these conditions in isolated silos with 10-minute specialty visits," Jactel said. "But as any patient will tell you, chronic conditions don't exist in a vacuum, and they certainly don't stop when you leave the doctor's office. Ayble solves this by building an evidence-based, multidisciplinary model that treats overlapping gut and autoimmune conditions under one unified platform." Other GI companies include Oshi Health, Cylinder Health and Digbi Health.
Ayble Health, an AI-enabled virtual digestive health clinic, has closed an oversubscribed $16 million Series A round led by Neon. The funding brings the Boston-based company's total capital raised to over $27 million. The company plans to expand its services beyond gastrointestinal conditions into autoimmune health. Ayble now covers 80 million Americans through partnerships with payers, employers, and health systems, and is in-network with most commercial health plans. Ayble's multidisciplinary care model combines GI specialists, dietitians, behavioural health experts, and AI technology. The company has published 16 peer-reviewed clinical studies and reports an average 47% improvement in GI symptoms for patients within four weeks. Founder Sam Jactel, who has inflammatory bowel disease, said the funding will deepen AI precision care capabilities whilst extending services to autoimmune conditions.
Ayble Health joins Amazon's Health Benefits Connector to expand virtual GI Care Access to millions of Americans. Sep 03, 2026, 08:30 ET As the first gastrointestinal care provider on Amazon's Health Benefits Connector, Ayble makes it easier for covered customers to discover and enroll with $0 or low out-of-pocket costs* BOSTON, Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Ayble Health, a leading AI-supported virtual multidisciplinary GI care platform, today announced it has joined Amazon's Health Benefits Connector. The collaboration gives millions of Americans a direct path to discover, verify coverage for, and enroll in specialized digestive healthcare already covered by their health plans[*]. Ayble is the first digestive health provider to be included in Amazon's Health Benefits Connector. In-network for more than 80 million Americans across most major health plans, Ayble delivers expert care leaving most patients with out-of-pocket costs under $10, and even $0*. Through the Health Benefits Connector, individuals can now find out if they're covered - and start care - without navigating complex insurance portals, calling member services, or waiting weeks for an appointment. "We built Health Benefits Connector to help customers discover and use quality health services that may be covered by their insurer," said John Singerling, Head of Strategic Growth and Network Development for Amazon Health Services. "Adding Ayble as our first digestive health provider means customers now have a simple path to specialized, clinician-led GI care, an area where access can be a real challenge." The Access Problem: Gastrointestinal conditions affect more than 70 million Americans, with prevalence ranging from 25% in commercially insured populations to upwards of 50% among Medicare beneficiaries[1]. Despite advances in care, prevalence continues to rise: between 2007 and 2019, the claims-based prevalence of digestive disorders among private insurance enrollees rose 45% and by 9% from 2015 to 2019 for Medicare beneficiaries[1]. Access to specialty digestive care, on the other hand, is constrained and getting tighter: close to 70% of US counties, do not have a single local practicing gastroenterologist[2], and based on GI workforce projections from the Health Resources and Services Administration National Center for Health Workforce Analysis, there is an aggregate shortage of 1,630 full-time GI physicians today[3]. For many patients, that wait means months of unmanaged symptoms, unnecessary ER visits, and avoidable procedures. At the same time, a significant number of Americans already have GI benefits they don't know about or don't know how to use. Amazon's Health Benefits Connector aims to solve this knowledge gap. "One of the biggest barriers to GI care isn't clinical - it's logistical," said Sam Jactel, Founder and CEO of Ayble Health and an Inflammatory Bowel Disease patient himself. "People suffer with digestive symptoms for years, often not knowing that high-quality, multidisciplinary GI care is already a covered benefit under their insurance plans. Joining Health Benefits Connector helps remove that friction and connects people directly to the care they need, at the moment they're looking for help."
