Requirements
  • Must have and maintain at least a Secret level security clearance.
  • Must have a minimum of six years of experience since 2000 in the maintenance and training of fielded military equipment.
  • Must have at least two years of experience serving as a certified military equipment instructor, with completion of an approved instructor course such as FIFC, ABIC, or ITC.
  • Must have past military experience as an Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician, such as Military Occupational Specialty 89D, or equivalent experience in another service branch.
  • Must have experience with Explosive Ordnance Disposal or route-clearance operations and the ground robotic systems employed by those formations.
  • Must be trained and qualified, or able to become qualified, to instruct and perform maintenance on supported Robotic and Ground Control System equipment.
  • Must be capable of teaching, coaching, and mentoring instructors on Explosive Ordnance Disposal-focused robotic systems.
  • Must have the ability to coordinate and lead training sessions effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Explosive Ordnance Disposal subject-matter expert for supported Robotic and Ground Control System platforms, providing expert guidance during New Materiel In-Briefs, In-Progress Reviews, and related events.
  • Assist the Senior Trainer and Site Manager in planning and delivering internal Explosive Ordnance Disposal-focused robotic training in accordance with the Program of Instruction and Training Support Package.
  • Prepare and oversee pitchbacks of Explosive Ordnance Disposal-focused Programs of Instruction by other Trainer Maintenance Technicians.
  • Conduct OPNET and FLMNET new equipment training in accordance with the Program of Instruction and Training Support Package, covering operations, operator maintenance, Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services, troubleshooting, and installation.
  • Provide troubleshooting, fault isolation, and repair for Robotic and Ground Control System equipment used by Explosive Ordnance Disposal and route-clearance units.
  • Conduct quality-assurance checks at Total Package Fielding events.
  • Prepare trip reports, estimates, and inputs for Contract Data Requirements List and Actual Cost Memorandum documents.
  • Support the preparation, execution, and follow-up of Explosive Ordnance Disposal-related fielding and training events, ensuring equipment and personnel are ready and properly trained.
  • Perform Trainer Maintenance Technician duties, including New Equipment Training delivery, fielding preparation, inventories, semiannual inspections, and customer assistance as needed.
  • Travel or deploy to continental United States and outside continental United States locations as necessary to support mission requirements.
