Kiddom is seeking a Professional Learning Leader who will author and develop professional learning experiences that build educators’ capacity to lead and improve instruction and learning. You will work with Kiddom’s curriculum author and publisher partners to enable districts to obtain maximum value from their core curriculum purchases via Kiddom. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our organization’s professional learning programs aimed at empowering educators to effectively integrate technology into their teaching practices
Additionally, this role will partner closely with Kiddom’s customer success, sales and marketing, and product teams to ensure the right solutions are being prioritized by account executives leading to the greatest business impact and ROI. You will utilize your K-12 educational expertise to develop and deploy engaging and contextualized professional learning experiences enabling districts to support every educator with the tools and resources they need to help all students succeed. .
You will also use your extensive curriculum implementation knowledge to develop an understanding of school and district needs, how Kiddom is uniquely positioned to fulfill them, and build relationships with key decision makers. You will also present at conferences and trade shows, support state curriculum adoptions, and support the customer journey from pre to post sales.
As Head of Professional Learning and Development you will:
- Lead the growth of professional learning/development business with our district partners. to facilitate PL growth goals that achieve maximum value from our core curriculum offerings
- Define customer target market segmentation, strategies and support models and identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the professional learning department.
- Partner with our sales team to develop scalable PL/PD models for various district sizes that deliver effective enablement ensuring effective utilization.
- Drive professional learning revenue to include setting sales expectations, communicate revenue status to leadership team, pipeline management, and sizing opportunities for district sales.
- Be available for up to 50% travel to deliver an amazing onsite professional learning experience for customers that achieve both learning outcomes and creating strong customer relationships. Travel also includes support and evaluation of PL team members.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive professional learning strategy aligned with the organization’s goals and vision. Build a culture centered around the success of our customers, and achieve our business goals.
- Seek out, partner, build and create a world class professional learning team that ensures our customers receive amazing professional learning experiences that cultivate trust and partnership. This includes FTE’s and independent contractors
- Create Professional Learning opportunities for customers that support change management for school districts, ensuring content and product expertise for teachers and administrators.
- Maintain a customer feedback loop to the organization with the goal of deepening initial implementation and driving renewal sales of core products.
- Set the overall vision for the work of the Core Professional Learning Team including high-quality Professional learning events that using metrics to measure district partner feedback that leads to regular adjustment and improvement of Core Professional Learning experiences
- Define customer segmentation, strategies and support models and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Support a culture centered on partner success and develop processes that support the achievement of the business goals
Qualifications Needed:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Sales, Marketing, Account Management, or related field, and a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in developing professional learning programs, and delivering high quality professional learning both online and in person. (Combination of education and experience accepted). , delivering, and improving meaningful professional learning experiences or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Successful demonstration of building professional learning programs that improve company retention metrics.
- Deep knowledge of core curriculum, pedagogy in implementing core curriculum and continuous improvement cycle.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, industry best practices, with an ability to understand market trends and align PL to relevant inventive promotions.
- Ability to create asynchronous professional learning utilizing industry professional learning tools such as video creation tools, presentation tools, assessment tools and/or strong knowledge of instructional/technical course software.
- A strong attention to detail, excellent organization and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced startup environment.
- A solid understanding of K-12 education and educational technology market
- An ability to connect and train individuals in a remote environment
- Some districts and schools require proof of completed COVID vaccination and/or a negative COVID test prior to delivering any on-site training
Salary range is dependent on geography, past experience, seniority, and demonstrated role related ability during the interview process.
