A BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering is required.
At least 5 years of structural engineering building design experience is required; experience with large-scale commercial or data center projects is ideal.
Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, and light-gauge steel, and understanding of foundation design, is required.
Proficiency using Revit independently to create construction-level structural drawings is required.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Professional Engineer licensure, or the ability to obtain it within 6 months, is required.
Responsibilities
Manage projects and communicate with clients, technical drafting staff, and others outside the project team.
Prepare preliminary designs for clients.
Review building codes to ensure proper implementation in design.
Attend client meetings and coordinate with construction project managers, architects, civil engineers, and mechanical engineers.
Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents and construction.
Produce construction-ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Manage construction administration tasks, including shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with construction teams.
Desired Qualifications
Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design package is preferred.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
