Requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret cable run lists, floor plans, and network diagrams.
  • Proficiency with testing equipment such as optical time-domain reflectometers, power meters, and cable certifiers.
  • Knowledge of TIA/EIA and BICSI standards for structured cabling.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
Responsibilities
  • Install, route, and secure fiber optic and copper cabling, including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and single-mode/multimode fiber.
  • Perform rack-and-stack support with proper cable routing and management.
  • Terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber connections, including LC, SC, and MPO/MTP, and copper connections.
  • Label cables and ports according to data center standards and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Perform cable tracing, auditing, and cleanup to maintain organized pathways.
  • Support build-outs, expansions, and decommissioning projects.
  • Use ladder racks, trays, and patch panels properly.
