Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and current registered nurse state licensure.
  • Experience in clinical nursing.
  • At least 6 months of chronic or acute dialysis nursing experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies and management skills, including communication, customer service, continuous quality improvement, relationship development, results orientation, team building, motivating employees, performance management, and decision making.
  • Management skills necessary to supervise facility personnel and ensure the delivery of quality patient care.
  • Successfully pass the Ishihara Color Blind Test.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the dialysis facility in accordance with legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate patient care with staff from admission through discharge and oversee patient assessments, care plans, schedules, missed-treatment action plans, and patient concerns.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, development plans, training, and guidance for direct reports and facility staff.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Quality, Education, Technical Services, the Home Therapies Program Manager, the Charge Registered Nurse, Medical Director, and physicians.
  • Maintain medical, administrative, and operational records and complete coding, reporting, data collection, auditing, and state and federal survey activities.
  • Manage facility staffing, including schedules, payroll, hiring, onboarding, orientation, training, performance evaluations, annual goals, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Manage facility finances, profit and loss, budget performance, inventory, supplies, equipment, vendor contracts, billing support, and cost containment.
  • Maintain quality improvement, quality assessment, risk management, regulatory compliance, safety, and continuous quality improvement programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and effective communication with physicians and Medical Directors, including facilitating physician privileges and participating in governing body activities.
  • Maintain facility environmental integrity and security, and schedule maintenance and repairs for equipment, operating systems, and the physical structure.
  • Market available services through presentations to physicians and dialysis facilities.
  • Provide training and support for staff development, professional growth, licensure, certifications, and mandatory in-services.
  • Travel to regional, Business Unit, and Corporate meetings as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in a supervisory or management role in a medical facility.
  • Medical-surgical or intensive care unit/coronary care unit experience.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with medical database software.
