Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Ability to fluently read and write English, accurately perform intermediate mathematical functions, and use all on-site resident management software functions.
  • At least two years of experience as a leasing consultant in the multifamily industry.
  • At least one year of experience in a management position related to marketing and/or advertising in the multifamily industry or a related field.
  • Ability to address the needs of community members, prospects, and vendors.
  • Ability to plan and execute on-site and off-site marketing and advertising.
  • Ability to organize and promote community events.
  • Ability to facilitate all aspects of the community leasing process.
  • Ability to lead a leasing team by example in a professional manner.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations effectively.
  • Strong leadership, communication, administrative, organizational, time-management, prioritization, customer-service, sales, and closing skills.
  • Knowledge of state law as it relates to fair housing.
  • Extensive knowledge of social media.
  • Intermediate computer and internet knowledge.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work extended or flexible hours and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, occasionally climb, work at a computer, and talk on the phone for extended periods.
  • Ability to detect auditory or visual alarms.
  • Availability for some nights, weekends, and occasional holidays.
  • Regular attendance and active participation in company functions and events.
Responsibilities
  • Handle all duties and tasks for two or more apartment communities.
  • Train and manage the leasing team.
  • Lead the leasing team in sales efforts.
  • Direct the leasing team in external marketing and advertising efforts.
  • Develop and execute marketing plans.
  • Provide customer service to community members and prospective community members.
  • Assist with market surveys as needed.
  • Show, lease, and move in prospective community members.
  • Update unit availability daily.
  • Process rental applications.
  • Process maintenance requests.
  • Receive collections in accordance with company standards.
  • Provide clerical and phone support.
  • Maintain community-member files and ensure file documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Inspect apartment homes to ensure they are move-in ready before move-in.
  • Resolve resident complaints and direct pertinent issues to the supervisor.
  • Conduct community-member move-out unit walks as needed.
  • Plan and participate in company functions and events.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Desired Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Yardi, Voyager, LRO, Entrata, and Resident Check.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and career growth through continuing education programs.
