What you will be doing

SHAW’S DISTRIBUTION CENTER in Denver, PA, is a division of Albertsons Companies, one of the largest food and drug retailers with 2,300+ stores. The Albertsons Companies family of brands includes some of the most prominent brands in food retailing, with a growing base of loyal shoppers.

We are searching for a Diesel Mechanic to join our skilled team at the SHAW’S Distribution Center located in Methuen, MA Positions offer a competitive, comprehensive benefit package, annual tool & boot allowance.

Position Overview

• Maintain and repair refrigerated trailers and reefer units.
• Diagnose Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Support trailer and fleet reliability for grocery distribution operations.
• What You Will Do
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration equipment.
• Read electrical and refrigeration schematics.
• Identify warranty repairs and complete documentation. Maintain a clean, safe, OSHA-compliant work environment.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and fellow technicians.

Qualifications

• Truck, trailer, reefer, diesel, or HVAC experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.
• Ability to obtain EPA Section 608 Certification.
• Ability to obtain ASE Heavy Truck Certification.
• Basic computer proficiency and maintenance software experience preferred.

What we are searching for

• Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy duty tractor/trailer repair. May require valid DOT physical card and a CDL driver's license.
• May need certification in the use of refrigerants and recycling equipment
• Ability to work full-time with the ability to work any shift.
• ASE Certifications
• PA State Inspection License a plus.
• 608 & 609 Refrigeration Certification

Salary:Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.  Candidates with unique qualifications may be considered for compensation above this range. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation Pay or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays, bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401k eligibility).  [If applicable:] Associates in this position may be eligible for a quarterly bonus.
