Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in any combination of qualifying fields or an associate degree and/or demonstrated competencies through certification or work experience
  • The Adjunct Assistant must have the ability to deliver a high level of interactive customer service, develop and maintain collaborative relationships throughout the organization, communicate effectively and possess proficient computer skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft Suite of Office Applications
  • The successful applicant must be willing to work a flexible schedule at multiple sites, as well as demonstrate the ability to work well with students, faculty, and staff at all levels within a diverse, multi-cultural, collaborative environment
Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and deliver instruction in didactic, laboratory and/or classroom settings to promote student success within a community college setting
  • Support and promote the college and departmental missions centered on excellence in teaching and learning through quality instruction, curriculum enhancement, and service
  • Collaborate with department chair, faculty, and peers to evaluate, revise, and develop curriculum to cultivate the mastery of course content
  • Strictly honor the privacy and security of student records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal and college regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Provide students with frequent, timely assessment of and clear feedback regarding academic performance
  • Appropriately document student progress and maintain records including attendance, grading and student learning outcomes
  • Maintain appropriate office hours proportionate to the instructional assignment
  • Assist with coordinating clinical internships
  • Correlates clinical education with didactic education and evaluates student performance and learning
  • Maintain current knowledge of the discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development
  • Participate in meetings and program advisory committee work as designated
  • Assist with implementation of college policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with SF college philosophy, values, and mission
  • Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Develop, prepare, and teach phlebotomy coursework
  • Teach didactic and laboratory courses in the phlebotomy program
  • Teach phlebotomy courses in evenings; candidates must have flexibility to teach assigned time and format throughout the academic year
