About the job
- A Bachelor of Science degree in a related field, or an ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline, is required.
- At least one year of related experience, including software or system testing activities, is required.
- Experience with regression testing and performance testing is required.
- Knowledge of military and software development industry standards, software test methodologies, and software requirement generation and maintenance is required.
- Some travel is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required.
- Develop and manage the process for verifying that system and software products operate and comply with requirements or design.
- Coordinate test requirements, planning, execution, and reporting.
- Provide technical expertise in testing and product knowledge.
- Write test procedures and develop test plans.
- Configure necessary hardware and operating environments to complete assigned testing.
- Provide technical knowledge about particular products, operating systems, and specialized environments.
- Evaluate software-related products through all phases of the development life cycle, including software specifications, design verification, coding, testing, and results-data validation.
- Support customer needs and travel as required.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with the IEEE 1012-1998 Standard for Software Verification and Validation.
- Experience with systems and interoperability-level testing of various systems.
- Experience generating test report documentation.
- Experience with static code analyzers such as Fortify and Coverity.
- Previous experience with the Missile Defense Agency.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with C, C++, Ada, or other programming languages.
- Honesty and strong professional ethics.
- Interpersonal skills and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Initiative and professionalism.
