Vertiv Holdings has been reaffirmed with a Buy rating by Evercore ISI, setting a price target of $280, whilst Barclays raised its target from $281 to $300 with an Overweight rating. The electrical equipment company is partnering with Nvidia on AI infrastructure development. On 16th March, Nvidia introduced its Vera Rubin DSX AI Factory reference design, with Vertiv providing critical power and cooling solutions for AI data centres. The partnership integrates Vertiv's infrastructure expertise with Nvidia's AI systems to enhance energy efficiency and performance. Vertiv is developing Vertiv OneCore Rubin DSX, a prefabricated system designed to accelerate AI factory deployment. The Brussels-headquartered company specialises in critical digital infrastructure technologies for data centres and communication networks.
Vertiv and CPower Energy have announced a collaboration to help US data centres accelerate grid interconnection by turning battery energy storage systems and other on-site energy assets into grid resources. The partnership integrates Vertiv's EnergyCore Grid BESS with CPower's Virtual Power Plant platform for demand response and grid services. The collaboration initially monetised a 1 MW microgrid at Vertiv's Ohio Customer Experience Center, combining BESS, solar, hydrogen fuel cells and uninterruptible power supply systems. The project generated demand response revenue and on-bill savings whilst supporting PJM, North America's largest grid operator. CPower has paid over $1.4 billion to demand response customers since 2015. The partnership addresses growing power demands as global data centre power usage is estimated to more than double between 2025 and 2030.
Vertiv acquires prefab enclosure maker BMarko. Latest deal to help Vertiv with prefabricated data centers April 13, 2026 Data center power and cooling giant Vertiv has acquired a manufacturer of prefabricated and containerized data center enclosures. The company this week announced the acquisition of BMarko Structures, a US-based provider of custom-engineered structural fabrication. Terms of the deal were not shared. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in South Carolina, BMarko specializes in custom-engineered builds, including steel and wood frames suitable for data center requirements. Vertiv said the acquisition will enable it to integrate a critical structural fabrication specialization into its Infrastructure Solutions business in North America, helping it deliver manufactured, prefabricated, and converged infrastructure for data center deployments. "AI is reshaping infrastructure requirements, with customers placing greater demands on time-to-capacity, flexibility, and efficiency across the infrastructure layer," said Gio Albertazzi, CEO of Vertiv. "This acquisition strengthens Vertiv's ability to help customers move faster, with better systems-level performance and control, as infrastructure demands continue to grow in complexity." Since 2014, BMarko has reportedly built more than 500,000 square feet (46,450 sqm) of modular structures across the US. It provides steel modular structures as well as containerized offerings. As well as data centers, the company offers electrical housing to host switchgear as well as enclosures for generators and battery storage systems. Vertiv has acquired a number of companies in recent years to boost its data center offerings. Last month, the company acquired ThermoKey, a provider of heat rejection and heat-exchange technologies. Last year, Vertiv bought automation platform WayLay.io, which develops monitoring and control technologies for power and cooling systems. It also acquired rack maker Great Lakes for $200m and mechanical flushing firm PurgeRite. The firm previously acquired CDU firm CoolTera in 2023 and chiller assets from BiXin Energy Technology Co. in 2024. More in investment / M&A / financing.
Vertiv acquires BMarko Structures to expand capacity for manufactured and converged Infrastructure Solutions. PR Newswire Today at 3:30am PDT Acquisition strengthens in-house structural fabrication, engineering control, and customization capabilities COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global provider of critical digital infrastructure, today announced the acquisition of BMarko Structures LLC ("BMarko"), a U.S.-based provider of custom-engineered structural fabrication. As AI data center deployments accelerate, the infrastructure layer is under growing pressure to deliver faster and at scale. This acquisition vertically integrates a critical structural fabrication specialization into Vertiv's Infrastructure Solutions business in North America, which is expected to strengthen supply capability, rapidly expand engineering and manufacturing capacity, and enhance Vertiv's ability to deliver scalable manufactured, prefabricated, and converged infrastructure with greater speed, control, customization, and executional discipline. BMarko has demonstrated its differentiated structural fabrication capabilities, engineering depth, and ability to support highly customized infrastructure requirements, during prior, long-term project experience with Vertiv. Bringing this capability in-house is expected to strengthen execution, improve material and process control, and enhance Vertiv's ability to support customers as infrastructure requirements continue to evolve. "AI is reshaping infrastructure requirements, with customers placing greater demands on time-to-capacity, flexibility, and efficiency across the infrastructure layer," said Gio Albertazzi, CEO of Vertiv. Vertiv, a data centre power and cooling infrastructure provider, reported a 109% year-over-year increase in its backlog during Q4, whilst organic orders surged 252%. The company's organic revenue grew 19% in the same period. The AI infrastructure specialist supplies critical cooling systems and power delivery hardware for data centres, benefiting from massive hyperscaler spending on AI infrastructure. Management expects continued growth through at least 2030, with analysts projecting 34% revenue growth in 2026. However, Vertiv trades at 43 times forward earnings, a premium valuation that may limit upside. Whilst the company's software component provides recurring subscription revenue beyond initial data centre build-outs, the current valuation suggests only modest market-beating returns ahead.
