Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of related corporate communications experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Experience with AP Style.
  • Digital media management experience (social media, website, online communication design/development); knowledge of digital applications, such as Hootsuite, Adobe Creative Cloud products (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Canva.
  • Possess good judgement and ability to work with a variety of people and groups in a collaborative and constructive manner.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, crafting and editing high-quality communications with the appropriate audience in mind.
  • Must be solutions-oriented, with strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience deploying communications plans and managing multiple communications platforms and channels.
  • Understand the different language styles that appeal to various target audiences.
Responsibilities
  • Develop communications plans for various organizational changes, strategic initiatives, and employee engagement efforts.
  • Help shape communications strategy and plans for internal and external channels (including digital media), content development, proofreading and approving content supplied by other departments.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to assist with recruitment content.
  • Support external public relations/traditional media relations, including vetting and providing counsel. Write and distribute news releases and build relationships with local and national media outlets.
  • Create and actualize annual Communications calendar including launches, media relations, product storylines, strategic pitches, events and partnerships.
  • Lead the management of content for social media accounts, internal and external-facing websites, branding, media projects, and consumer projects.
  • Develop strong relationships and partner effectively with all business segments in support of their strategic business priorities and goals.
