Healthcare Data Architect - openEHR/FHIR
About the job
- At least 7 years of experience as a software or data architect, ideally within healthcare.
- Practical experience delivering openEHR-based Clinical Data Repositories or FHIR-compliant interfaces in clinical environments, or experience with another medical modeling standard.
- Deep understanding of clinical and operational processes in healthcare institutions and hospital IT systems; experience in Switzerland is preferred.
- Expertise building governance frameworks for role allocation, modeling processes, maturity assessment, and architecture compliance.
- Prior experience in consulting, hospitals, or healthcare software vendors.
- Ability to run workshops, present to mixed clinical, technical, and executive audiences, and produce deliverables within engagement timelines and budgets.
- Fluency in German and English at a minimum C1 level.
- Strong communication skills with clinical, technical, and management stakeholders.
- Advise hospital stakeholders on data architecture governance for openEHR-based Clinical Data Repositories and FHIR-based Operational Data Repositories.
- Support hospital modeling teams in conceptualizing sustainable and scalable clinical and operational data architecture.
- Support integration of both repositories with existing hospital information systems.
- Define and foster architecture principles and best practices for data handling, security, and monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with data protection requirements, including nLPD/FADP and GDPR where relevant.
- Ensure integration between clinical and operational data repositories, enabling traceability across clinical and administrative processes.
- Define governance frameworks covering roles, quality-assured modeling processes, maturity measurement, and compliance monitoring.
- Contribute to strengthening internal expertise in openEHR/FHIR and participate in strategy development.
- French language skills.
- Certifications in openEHR, FHIR, or HL7.
