This role ensures that Sony’s Catalog and biggest artists are properly represented across all Digital Service Providers (DSP’s) and how they can be more easily discoverable by the DSP’s algorithms, Search Engines and Editorial teams.
Metadata is hugely important to a music company as it ensures that an Artists music and Labels catalog can be properly found and attributed to across the digital music landscape. With an ever-evolving partner dynamic whether that is the traditional streaming partners of Spotify, YouTube & Apple or the relatively newer players like TikTok or whatever the next big thing is, understanding how these partners work through research and development is an important part of the role.
What you’ll do:
- Support Metadata Manager with optimizations for TikTok moments, syncs, and trending tracks
- Support the Artist & DSP Specialists in the optimization of Sony’s Catalog on Audio DSP platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, TikTok and others
- Support Metadata Manager and the Artist & DSP Specialists to produce optimizations for Artists catalogs based on forthcoming campaigns as well as label and artist requests
- Support Metadata Manager in researching new metadata & search engine optimization ideas
- Troubleshoot and resolve delivery and optimization issues
- Source imagery and playlists
Who you are:
- 1-2 years experience of working within either Optimization, Streaming Content, SEO & Marketing teams or working as a content specialist within the music industry
- A highly organized person that pays close attention to the details and has a great work ethic
- Additional language skills preferred although not essential
- You are hungry to learn and grow with a curious mind and a passion for the mechanics of how things work
- You are willing and excited to support the team as needed

The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
