Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Level II certification is required.
A technical background in nondestructive testing (NDT) methods and procedures is required.
The candidate must be able to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret inspection results.
Knowledge of NDT equipment is required.
Experience in report writing is required.
Candidates should be based in or near Longview, Texas; candidates willing to relocate to the area are also encouraged to apply.
Forty-hour Radiation Safety Training is required.
An Industrial Radiographer State Card is required; trainee status is a plus.
A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card is required, or the candidate must be able to obtain one.
The candidate must provide current or prior copies of certifications in methods and classroom documentation.
The candidate must be willing to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
Conduct tests using nondestructive testing methods of inspection to ensure quality or detect discontinuities and defects.
Establish techniques for properly examining objects under inspection while ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube or digital readouts, conductivity meters, and visual indicators.
Organize and report test results.
Perform specialized inspections.
Instruct and supervise others as needed.
Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Desired Qualifications

Some college is preferred.
An Industrial Radiographer State Card in trainee status is a plus.
An Industrial Radiography Radiation Safety Personnel (IRRSP) card is preferred.

Requirements
