Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
  • Five years of experience in program or project management, preferably in a healthcare, technology, or product delivery environment, is required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex initiatives from planning through implementation is required.
  • Experience working closely with product, engineering, and implementation teams to align scope, timelines, and deliverables is required.
  • Skill in managing relationships and communications across diverse stakeholder groups, including senior leadership and external partners, is required.
  • Proven ability to lead complex programs and projects from planning through execution, with a strong understanding of project lifecycle methodologies such as the Software Development Life Cycle, is required.
  • Ability to proactively identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and lead organizational change efforts including training and user adoption is required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to following established processes, standards, and governance frameworks is required.
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining program dashboards, status reports, and performance metrics is required.
  • Experience managing resource allocation, task assignments, and program budgets is required.
Responsibilities
  • Deconstruct release definitions into work breakdown structures consisting of sprints that combine technology and process or operational deliverables to cumulatively deliver product value.
  • Partner with product teams to align strategic goals and execution, maintaining clarity of scope and shared understanding across stakeholders.
  • Track successful delivery of Value-Based Products programs to agreed timelines, ensuring quality, budget adherence, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external partners, and senior leadership throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Facilitate communication across cross-functional teams, proactively surfacing risks, dependencies, and decision points.
  • Represent program status through dashboards and executive updates.
  • Partner with Engagement leads and the Implementation team to plan handoffs and carry efforts through the remaining phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Oversee task assignments and resource alignment to support team performance and delivery outcomes, working closely with the Delivery Lead.
  • Promote adherence to established processes and policies, including Software Development Life Cycle standards and organizational best practices.
  • Partner with the Implementation Management Office for seamless handoff to implementation.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Lead organizational change management activities including user adoption, training, and implementation planning.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and partners, ensuring performance expectations and service levels are met.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in Business, Public Health, Health Informatics, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional, Certified ScrumMaster, or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma, SAFe Program Consultant, or other advanced program management or process improvement certifications are preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare delivery models, especially value-based products or services, is preferred.
  • Experience partnering with an Implementation Management Office or similar function to support solution implementation and Software Development Life Cycle handoff is preferred.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors, including performance oversight and contract negotiations, is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Agile and traditional project management approaches, with the ability to adapt based on project needs, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence, and Microsoft Project is preferred.

Kaiser Permanente and Risant Health report $127.7B revenue with $9.3B net income for 2025

Kaiser Permanente and Risant Health reported combined operating revenues of $127.7 billion for 2025, up from $115.8 billion in 2024. Operating income reached $1.4 billion, yielding a 1.1% operating margin, compared to $569 million and 0.5% the previous year. The organisations faced rising care delivery costs driven by high demand for complex care and expensive prescription medications. Net income totalled $9.3 billion in 2025, down from $12.9 billion in 2024, which included $6.8 billion from Risant Health's acquisitions of Geisinger and Cone Health. Combined membership stood at nearly 13.1 million as of 31 December 2025. Capital spending reached $4.8 billion, including investments in earthquake safety compliance and facility improvements. The organisations contributed $5.3 billion to community health programmes, including $192 million in grant funding.

Cone Health Joins Risant Health Network

Cone Health has been acquired by Risant Health, a nonprofit created by Kaiser Permanente in 2023. The Greensboro-based health system completed the transaction after receiving regulatory approvals. This acquisition, structured as a member substitution, makes Risant the sole owner of Cone Health. Cone Health CEO Dr. Mary Jo Cagle stated that this move will enhance their mission of providing better care at lower costs. Risant Health previously acquired Geisinger in the spring.
