Requirements
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, or demand generation, including at least 1 year managing a team or operating as a player-coach.
  • Have deep field marketing experience owning a calendar end-to-end, meeting pipeline targets, and running a program rather than isolated events.
  • Use artificial intelligence tools such as Claude or GPT to create copy, lists, and follow-up sequences.
  • Be able to size experiments, set success criteria, and turn one-off activations into durable playbooks.
  • Be comfortable using Salesforce and a business intelligence tool to analyze pipeline funnels and evaluate metrics.
  • Have experience partnering closely with account executives and sales leadership on account targeting and follow-through.
  • Distinguish proven programs worth scaling from experimental initiatives worth testing and sequence them across a calendar.
  • Set strategy while also building event run-of-show plans hands-on.
Responsibilities
  • Own the strategy and execution of Engine's full field marketing program, including event selection, audience targeting and recruiting, content and run-of-show, on-site execution, pre- and post-event follow-up, and pipeline reporting.
  • Own the calendar and pipeline number for the field marketing program.
  • Plan and execute customer dinners, sporting event suites and activations, and regional roadshows in partnership with go-to-market leadership.
  • Identify, test, and scale unconventional in-person channels such as job site visits and office drop-ins.
  • Apply a test-and-learn process using hypotheses, minimum detectable effects, post-event readouts, and decisions to kill or scale initiatives.
  • Own relationships with regional travel organizations and destination partners and build a playbook to expand the model to additional destinations.
  • Track net-new logo influence, opportunity acceleration, and customer expansion sourced or influenced by field marketing.
  • Deliver clean post-event reporting to sales, growth, and executive leadership.
  • Partner with account executives, account managers, and sales leadership on account targeting, pre-event preparation, and post-event follow-up.
  • Manage and develop a team of two while remaining hands-on as a senior individual contributor.
  • Set standards for program quality, raise the bar for creative work, and create career paths as the function grows.
  • Sharpen event selection, prospect recruiting, and pipeline conversion to make the field program repeatable.
  • Reach buyers who work on job sites, in dispatch offices, and on the road.
  • Evaluate unconventional channels such as job site visits, airport pop-ups, and solicitation and determine what to scale or discontinue.
  • Standardize pre-event targeting, post-event follow-up, and attribution to opportunities.
  • Build and develop the team and establish how field marketing will scale as the company grows.

Engine acquires Options Travel to build AI-native booking tool for travel management companies

Engine has acquired Options Travel, a corporate travel management company with over 30 years of experience. Options Travel will continue operating independently under its current leadership, with all employees joining Engine. The acquisition follows nine months of collaboration, during which Engine identified significant technology gaps in the travel management company sector. Engine is now developing an AI-native online booking tool for the industry, featuring booking, payments, reporting, and customer management in a single dashboard. The new platform reduces booking times to 2.5 minutes, compared to the industry average of nearly 15 minutes. According to the Global Business Travel Association, nearly a third of corporate travel buyers are reconsidering their travel management company this year, primarily due to outdated technology rather than service quality. Engine will demonstrate the new platform at the GBTA Convention in Chicago from 3–5 August.
