Requirements
  • A recognized nursing diploma is required.
  • Registration with the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ) is required.
  • Hospital experience is required, ideally in emergency care.
  • An arrhythmia course is mandatory.
  • Emergency triage training is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • The ability to work in a team while demonstrating autonomy is required.
  • Availability for flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, is required.
  • Proficiency in French is essential; English is an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Provide quality health care to patients presenting to the emergency department.
  • Rapidly assess patients’ health needs and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with other health professionals to ensure optimal patient follow-up.
  • Administer treatments and monitor patients’ responses to care.
  • Educate patients and their families about their health conditions.
  • Triage patients according to the severity of their condition.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of English is an asset.
  • Experience in emergency care is ideal.
