- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Power BI development and Business Intelligence solutions.
- Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop & Service.
- Strong expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
- Strong expertise in Power Query (M language).
- Strong expertise in data modeling (relational, dimensional, OLAP).
- Hands-on experience with SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and reporting best practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights for business stakeholders.
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver effective BI solutions.
- Build and optimize data models (star schema, snowflake schema) to support reporting needs.
- Create and manage DAX queries, measures, and calculated columns for complex business logic.
- Optimize performance of Power BI reports through best practices in query folding, data reduction, and efficient modeling.
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance with DTCC policies and financial industry standards.
- Collaborate with ETL/Database teams to ensure data integrity and availability for reporting.
- Publish, maintain, and support Power BI workspaces, datasets, and apps across the organization.
- Stay updated with latest Power BI features and industry trends to drive innovation in reporting solutions.
- Experience in financial services / capital markets domain.
- Knowledge of Python, R, or other analytics tools.
- Exposure to Tableau, Qlik, or other BI tools (added advantage).
- Understanding of Agile methodology and working in a regulated environment.
