About the job

Requirements
  • At least two years of experience working with Trimble Business Center and Trimble civil software programs.
  • Applicable experience with Civil 3D or Bentley products is considered, with willingness to adapt to software aligned with established workflows and standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret contract documents, including grading plans, road alignments, cross sections, and site details from approved engineering plans.
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot License, or ability to obtain one within a year of employment.
  • Ability to resolve a wide range of technical issues related to civil geospatial data.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude, attention to detail, self-motivation, and organization.
  • Ability to learn new software and methods.
  • Ability to perform or assist with drone flights as needed.
  • Physical ability to perform required office and construction-site activities, including sitting, standing, walking, crawling, bending, reaching, stooping, climbing, and occasionally lifting 5-20 pounds.
  • Ability to work in high-noise construction-site environments.
Responsibilities
  • Construct 3D machine control and site layout models and designs for use with Trimble's civil suite of products, including Siteworks and Earthworks.
  • Perform earthwork takeoffs using data from various sources or survey methods.
  • Provide support for field crews working with digital design data.
  • Apply company CAD and drafting standards to maintain uniformity across projects.
  • Perform drafting tasks for as-builts and other project-related items.
  • Review and manipulate various CAD file formats, including understanding and transforming between different formats.
  • Perform other field- and office-related tasks as assigned.

  • Previous field surveying experience.
