About the job
- A high school diploma is required.
- One to two years of related manufacturing experience and/or training is required.
- Coordinate, direct, evaluate, and provide training and leadership to twenty or more hourly employees in assembly and/or molding operations.
- Develop daily schedules, ensure quality and production goals are met, and troubleshoot problems as required.
- Provide technical leadership for the department, including recommending and implementing equipment, process, and material enhancements.
- Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, including equipment and workspace layouts.
- Ensure ISO procedures are followed, product integrity meets standards, and process improvement recommendations such as Statistical Process Control and other quality systems are maintained.
- Ensure employees complete safety training, establish a safe work environment, and lead the department safety team.
- Maintain constructive working relationships with business units, customers, and internal departments, including communication, coordination of work in progress, and process improvement.
- Research and recommend production and auxiliary equipment procurement, and identify new technologies and expansion plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- An Associate degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
