- Shop Electrician 3 requires problem-solving ability and the ability to collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve complex electrical challenges and plan projects.
- Employees must work outdoors and indoors in dusty, noisy, hazardous, high, tight, and confined spaces; climb, balance, squat, kneel, and crouch for extended periods; and lift, move, or carry 50 pounds.
- Employees must comply with company policies and procedures and are accountable for safety and health, including stopping work when unsafe conditions are present and notifying a supervisor.
- Perform manufacturing tasks in accordance with company policies and performance metrics, while meeting quality standards and delivery dates.
- Interpret job orders and drawings as needed for the assigned area.
- Lay out and fabricate equipment and parts, and operate trade-specific machinery.
- Maintain accurate time records and perform other assignments as directed by production management.
- Contribute to developing and improving concepts, techniques, and procedures.
- Use judgment and initiative to resolve issues and make recommendations.
- At Shop Electrician 2 level, mentor Shop Electrician 1 employees.
- At Shop Electrician 3 level, perform complex electrical installations and troubleshooting, lead and develop a cross-functional manufacturing team, and support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
